Re: Han Solo Movie (Spoiler Discussion)

Thanks for asking. Happy to have this conversation! Currently, it's: ANH, ESB, ROTJ, R1, TLJ, ROTS, TFA, SOLO, AOTC, TPM So, do you "like" ANH better than ESB, or do you think it's actually a better film/story? I "like" ANH the best, out of all the films. It's my favorite of all...

Thanks for the link to that Mech. I think I can customize one of those into a modern Cobra SNAKE suit.

Re: Han Solo Movie (Spoiler Discussion)

**JLW** Nah, come on. Originally, he's pretty self-centered. Then his character develops in helping Chewie. Finally, we end with his conflict of being the hero that he really is, or stick to the smuggling trade he's recently learned. Plus, I think they good job with Qi'ra's story of being a slave/o...

Re: The 15th Trial: FLESH AND STEEL - POSTED!

Justin, Another great episode! As a long-time reader, I love seeing how your diorama and photography skills have progressed. Speaking of dioramas, I'm looking at all of the misc. vehicle parts (TIE fighter cockpits & wings, AT-AT legs, etc.) thinking, "My goodness, I wonder how much money i...

Re: Han Solo Movie (Spoiler Discussion)

Actually there’s a three-year span from when Han joins the Academy, gets dumped and is on Mimban where he meets Chewie. I get everyone’s complaints, but I really thought it was a fun movie, and that’s something the new Star Wars movies really have been lacking. Yeah, I forgot to mention that in my ...

Re: Han Solo Movie (Spoiler Discussion)

I have to agree with Lance, they spelled out nearly everything about Han to the point where there is no longer any mystery surrounding the character. I think I prefer not knowing, as I did during the OT. The Easter eggs and references were over-the-top for me, they tried way too hard to connect eve...

Re: Han Solo Movie (Spoiler Discussion)

This was a good, but not a great movie, for most of its run, but man oh man does it fall apart in the last half hour. The ending is terrible and, unfortunately, really ruined it for me. What a bummer, as so many of us have been clamoring for a SW movie set entirely in the criminal underworld (thoug...

Re: The 14 Trial: UPRISING - POSTED!

Chewie, Yakface is probably the only SW site I visit anymore. Jason Because it's been five years -- FIVE YEARS -- since your last Vader's Quest chapter and you promised -- PROMISED -- that you'd at least do one more chapter to finish out the series. We're waiting, Jason!!!!! That's awesome, and ded...

Oh meant to ask, the background wall in this picture:

Is it scratch-built or can something like this be purchased?

Thanks,

Re: The 14 Trial: UPRISING - POSTED!

Chewie, I like to drop in on Yakface from time to time just to see what you've done with your photonovel. Yakface is probably the only SW site I visit anymore. I appreciate your dedication to the genre and the art of photonovels. I from experience how back-breaking they can be. It can be compared to...

Re: The Last Jedi (Spoiler Discussion)

Well, still haven't watched TLJ a second time, but we did watch the Prequel Trilogy again last weekend. This was the first time I had watched the Prequel Trilogy in a couple of years. I've read some comments that TFA and TLJ are "still" better than any of the Prequel Trilogy, and after rew...

Re: The Last Jedi (Spoiler Discussion)

Crap! Utinniii's comment about gravity bombs in TESB really makes "sense" in explaining the bombs in TLJ. You also made a valid point about Snoke's origin, but that really wasn't a big issue to me. My cousin and I have talked at length about the "turtle space race," and the expla...

Re: The Last Jedi (Spoiler Discussion)

Ok, here are my thought on The Last Jedi, and I think Chewie's B- is pretty generous. . . I give it a D+ TLJ is probably my LEAST favorite film of the series to date. Yes, LEAST favorite. Worse than any of the Prequel movies. You can saw what you want about the Prequel, but at least they moved in a ...

Dude it is so strange that I would come across this post! I was just sending an email and your email popped up in my contacts list which prompted me to come to Yakface and see what you had been up to. I thought that was an excellent start to the "other-verse" of the Trilogies i.e. the sto...
