Looks great man and I really dig how you changed the placement of the cockpit! Now we just need to inspire more people to make Sandcrawlers.
I found the Tarkin Wave at my local Walmart in Southern Indiana on Saturday. It was luck really since I just happen to be on my way to work at 6 A.M. and had to pick up some snacks and thought I'd check the figure isle. They had one case with Dr. Evazan the week before and I doubted they would have ...
Ugh. I'm an OT collector for the most part, so this wave leaves me out in the cold. Guess it gives me a chance to catch up on missed figures and G.I.Joes.
Finally found the Target Taun Tauns! Am I the only one to get excited about the Hoth radar laser controller with the Rebel Soldier?
Man I want that Cobra missile silo! Hopefully I can find a beat up defiant in the future to make my own. Thanks for the inspiration!
BTW, do you ever post over at Hisstank.com? They would eat this up!
Yup, my Walmart got rid of several Sand troopers and Clone troopers only to put out a case that had more of the same in it.
Thanks again for the comments gang. I've got a few questions from people about what paints I used, so here's the rundown. Since I live in a small town that doesn't have a hobby shop, I used spray paint from Walmart and a local hardware store. I first used Krylon grey primer then I coated it with Rus...
The Walmart near me pulled all of the ROTS Clones and Sandtroopers. Wish they would have pulled all of the Iron Man 2 figures as well.
So, does Walmart get credit for these figures from Hasbro? You would think they would just clearance them instead.
First I thought: Okay, orginal design. Bit dotty yellow painting, but nice. Like the size and colouring. Okay. Than the thing openened up and became a giant playset!!! Oh my God, what a fantastic thing this is! :o Hasbro should pay you a couple of thousand dollars, and than take it into production....
This is absolutely superb! Detailing is fantastic, and it blends with the established sandcrawler design perfectly. I love all the build-a-droid parts scattered around as well. Definitely one of the best ideas Hasbro ever had, when put to use like this!! Great stuff. Whoa! Front paged! I'm honored....
Thanks for the comments guys. I've still got some work to do on the top section. I'll have to post pics if I ever get back to it. That is if I can ever get it back from my oldest boy. He loves playing with this! lol!
Wow amazing Work! if you don't mind me asking, How much did you pay for the command center? I got it in a huge lot of 1980s toys for $100. They usually sell in similar condition for around $50 on ebay. Thanks for the comments guys. For some reason the full pictures are not showing up here...
