Re: TVC 2018 Figures

Yes!!! A VC band box set would be awesome!!! On a side note and not VC related, has anyone seen the new "Star Wars Skeletons" coming from Uncle Milton? There are some random skulls from a few species of aliens, but probably the coolest things are the full blown rancor and tauntaun skeleto...

Re: Where does the hobby go from here?

Agreed. Unfortunately with Hasbro though, their solution when that happens seems to be to drop the price by 15% and decrease the quality by 50%. THIS! "Make less profit per item" is never a solution to them. Thing is, you may make less per item but if you sell considerably more of ...

you mean like only making a 6" Bodhi in their "elite" series ( has fish flippers for hands BTW) vs offering up a black series or S/A 3.75

That's not indicative of any exclusive. Just poor planning. Bodhi was also very hard to find in 5 POA as well. I never saw that wave at all

Doubt they'd block a core character just because the parks have them.

Re: TVC 2018 Figures

[quote="Warsaw"]I'm sure many would scoff at some of these repacks but I am at least sticking with figures that have ball-jointed elbows! Most are former single card offerings and I would buy all of these figures repacked onto TVC cards... I doubt they'd go too heavy on those prequel items...

Re: TVC 2018 Figures

Being an opener I'm really not concerned about the cards. However, like everyone else, I wouldn't mind some of the hard to find/outrageously priced on the secondary market figures as repacks. There have been a lot of great choices so far. Totally agree with the AT-AT Commander, Jabba's Skiff Guard,...

Re: TVC 2018 Figures

At At Commander is a must. I check ebay all the time and he goes for $30 loose. Better yet, toss a Veers head sculpt on him. I'd also like to see some figures previously only available in packs single carded like the Resurgance of the Jedi pack which had the best farm boy Luke to date. We never got ...

Re: Where does the hobby go from here?

The licensing fees are crazy, and that gets passed to the consumer - so the greed on the part of Disney / LFL is one of the reasons the prices aren't more reasonable. Basic figures should be closer to $6, and SA 3.75 closer to $10. Hasbro can afford to release 12 inch figures for $10, so there is a...

Re: Where does the hobby go from here?

look at the size/price point of that heroes line toys r us carries - those vehicles are huge for 1:18 scale. Slap "Star Wars" on one of those $30-50 gunships or submarines and you got yourself a $300 toy. I'm sure licensing cost of the SW brand may be more than average but you try and pro...

Re: Where does the hobby go from here?

I thought this was a good example of how out of overpriced Star Wars feels when you look at some other stuff around the toy aisle, in particular seeing what Mattel is doing with Justice League toys. http://www.yakfaceforums.com/phpBB3/download/file.php?id=9184 ^ When my son saw these were the same ...

Re: Raylen's Diorama Parts For Collectors

For the distillery pots on center bar why don't you just use the scrap plastic tubing from models kits find a old model kit look at the parts plastic tray alittle bit of sanding and paint doesn't have to be exact to images. This is what I'm talkin about might even be able to mold some once you get ...

http://www.yakfaceforums.com/phpBB3/download/file.php?id=9088 ^ My local Walmart (STL area) finally put out the new aisle shipper today. Surpsrised this wasn't out before Christmas... and too bad the 3.75" stuff is all Wave One (I don't understand why Hasbro doesn't use a chance like this more...

Re: Yakfinities #66 - The Unexplained

Tatooine Sandsquatch - This elusive creature is the stuff of legend and most believe it does not exist. Rarely seen, this beast from another era is rumored to come out only at night. Several locals of Mos Eisley claim it is responsible for stealing dried fruits and vegetables from their vendor boot...

Re: Recent Finds/Acquisitions: The Black Series

In all fairness the Royal guards didn't do much but stand around Palpy but they did look cool though. If only they'd kept in that deleted scene where they're prepared to fight Vader when he started choking Jerjerrod. It ain't much (Jerjerrod diffuses the situation and they lower their weapons), but...
