Re: Black Series: Wave 4

These new figures are looking pretty rough. It is such a shame that the designers have made such great strides in terms of sculpting and to an extent articulation, but the figures get marred in production. Honestly I would rather pay more than $10 per figure if it meant a return to the higher produc...

The operating table with Light-Up Vader is a baffling combination, since the Vader can't fit on the table. Other than that the set seems solid. One Target near me has several left for $15. If they drop to $8 or so, I'll pick them for the Clones and Palpatines.

I'm feeling rather apathetic about Toy Fair this year, at least for Star Wars. I don't feel burned by Hasbro's showings at previous events, but for some reason I'm just not excited. That might sum up my thoughts toward the line overall. Some solid news on the upcoming ESB wave of figures would be ni...

It's nice to see some people jumping in (or jumping back in) on the line. This was probably a great time to do so with so little new product at retail, but plenty of quality items released over the last few years to get caught up with online. There's something fun about rebooting a collection, I env...

I always suspected this was dodgy, sounds more like someones wish list. I am the "Greg" that first dug up this list. It came straight from Hasbro's Customer Service site. I promise it wasn't a wish list... I wouldn't wish more Saga Legends on anybody! :D Well, the Snowtrooper and Maul cam...

Just to offer a differing view on the Turtles vs. Star Wars thing... I hit a local Wal-Mart today, and they were packed with TMNT. Meanwhile, Star Wars was down to a handful of 2012 figures and giant Darth Vaders. No Mission Series, TBS, Telepods, etc. It was the strangest thing and really illustrat...

I dunno, the latest pics really are a letdown for me personally. Virtually all of the headsculpts look bad to me and I'm not a fan of those clones... I think each set would have been better served to drop the clone, and drop a Jedi... include an Orray in each set with a Geonosian!!! I would love to...

Thanks for the comments. A few people have suggested making this into a Death Star/generic hangar diorama. Here are some pics of the display all cleaned up and painted: http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f328/mister_palpatine/100_0536.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f328/mister_palpatine/100_05...

For my birthday and Christmas this year, my uncle helped me build a display case/functional table for my new BMF toy. By "helped", I mean he did most of the work. I did a bit of drilling and measuring. He is truly phenomenal at building stuff, so I'm very pleased with how this big mutha-**...

Has anyone else seen a restock of 2009 deluxe sets at TRU stores? My local store restocked the wave with Jetpack Troopers and Turbo Tank Gunners earlier this week, and another store had the wave with the crab droid a couple of months ago. I'm not complaining, since I was able to score a set of the J...

Surprisingly these sold out at the TRU by school. I was responsible for six of them disappearing, but I didn't pay more than $7.00 per figure. I got two for free, two on sale ($9 ish each) then used a $5 rewards coupon, and then another two during a 2 for $9.99 sale. These guys are definitely animat...

The Battle Packs that I have seen at Ross have been around $12. I think I've seen all of the sets from 2009 over the past couple of months, including the Rishi and Geonosis sets. They have been getting in a lot of interesting Star Wars and GI Joe toys recently.

Actually in terms of articulation the one that came on the B'omarr Monastery BP in 2008. It has a soft goods skirt. I would normally agree with the soft goods thing, but the plastic skirt on the Space suit figure is pliable enough that it doesn't hinder movement. Plus something, to me, looks "...

These are "hot off the truck" at EE. I'm really looking forward to the Mandos so I hope I get them soon. I've always enjoyed the Open Seasons comic and the bounty hunter video game.
