When I was at Wal-Mart yesterday, I did try and get a few TPM for that price, but since they didn't ring up, I didn't feel like causing a stir. Not with a long line behind me.

What Wal-Mart stores should do to avoid any confusion and having to honor the price for the new line that is intended to be marked at full price, is make sure the older TVC are moved out of the regular section, and stickered at $4.00.

Went by a Wal-Mart just out of St. Louis today, and saw they're already marking down 2012 product.

Battle Packs - $15.00
Dewbacks - $21.00
Hyena Droids - $21.00
Mid Size Vehicles - $21.00

The TVC packaging vehicles don't even ring up now in the computer... here's a couple pics I snapped:

Who can blame Wal-Mart? Nearly everything that Hasbro is pushing these days outside of vintage and the "Discover the Force" figures are repacks or repaints.

Hasbro needs to wake up. If they keep with so many repacks/etc., this line is going to get more and more boring and retailers are going to start cutting back because they can't move a lot of this stuff.

The Battle Packs here in the UK are completely bizarre when it comes to pricing, Argos have them for £14.99, Tesco £19.99 and TRU £24.99, so whats that about and Argos have them on sale at the moment a £11.49; this is the most broad idea of pricing i've seen on something.

What a shock.

Nobody wants recycled crap on a lame-looking blister card for twenty-four bucks. Are you listening to and seeing this, Hasbro?

We can only hope so.

If there's a silver lining to all this it's that the Dewback will now come way down in price so people can start building small herds of these bad boys if they see fit. I knew it would happen sooner or later, but not THIS quickly.

I too found this clearance price and picked up the Sith Infiltrator for $21. I never got the 30th anniversary version, but I wasn't going to drop $30 for what's essentially a repack. Battle packs weren't on sale...yet.

I really can't believe they're using those old outdated molds for the battle packs.

MAYBE if they were a super-cheap economical "play pack" targeted at really young kids (or thrifty parents), I could understand.

But this just looks like Hasbro found an old warehouse filled with unshipped stock and slapped it in a new box.

No wonder they're not moving.

these molds will never move regardless what line you put them in specially at the price they are asking for them.. I agree with danofthedead.. these should be a value pack for around $6.99... maybe then they would sell, but I still would not by them.

I do like the price for the pod racer.. $21 is a solid price IMO.. :D

I wouldn't be surprised if this was EXACTLY what Hasbro did. I know that's probably not the case, but it sure seems like it. I mean...a 13-year-old Han, a ten-year-old Chewie and an Obi-Wan that wasn't popular when he was NEW? What was Hasbro smoking?!

Same here. I'm getting a markdown Dewback if I see one this coming week.

That was quick. Those BPs were really lame and they were a cheap money grab by Hasbro. They figured parents would run in with their kids and want to buy something. Those figures are just too outdated now for BPs to sell at that price. Even at $15 for three figures, I can't see those being that interesting either.

Maybe WM sees this stuff as something they need/want to move quickly or maybe this will be they're new policy towards movie merchandise (once the film starts losing screens, start lowering the price).

The dewback is great and at that price, I'd buy a herd of them if I was in the US.

If the Dewback was even less than $21.00 I'd be game for multiples. Who knows, maybe they'll slash the price again in the next couple of weeks.

The demand doesnt seem to be close to the supply for most if not all TPM products.
