QUESTION ABOUT POWER OF THE FORCE RED CARDS?

Postby fhdavid52 » Wed Jun 12, 2013 7:00 am

Back years ago, when I began collecting, there was a lot of hype over some figures that were out that were on Red Cards as the change was being made to Green Cards. I beilieve there were 8 figures total. The Red carded versions were commanding a large premium at the time. Does anyone remember what the 8 figures were? I can only remember 2 of them. These came out in 1996 if that is any help.

If anyone around here could answer this, I bet it's Jayson...

I may be wrong here, but my stab at this is the following:

- Yoda
- Tusken Raider
- TIE Pilot
- Sandtrooper
- R5-D4
- Hammerhead
- Jawas
- Death Star Gunner

it was a real real short period and hasbro immediately switched it all to the green card back.

some of the early red card backs from Wave 1.5/2 wouldn't have any promo pics of SOTE stuff either.

I got pile of POTF2 carded figs, just gotta dig them out.

I figured out what I was looking for. The red cards were phased out during production and replaced with green card, hence the red card versions of certain figures were supposed to be rare. There were 9 figures. The information I need was in an old issue of Lee's Action Figure News and Toy review.
It was 1997 not 1996.

One of the better sites I use for my collection list is Star Wars Collector http://www.starwarscollector.com/ they have a pretty accurate list.
