Both look great Luke. I look forward to seeing the rest of the Jedi.

Excellent Sith, LukeSprywalker. He looks like he just stepped out of that Sith ship 8) The Jedi's shaping up nicely as well.

Here's a small update on my Jedi: his.... lightsaber. Hmm, small? It's a friggin' long saber, with the hilt measuring an inch  For the first time I've been keeping track on how much time I spend on each aspect. The disassembling, sanding and test fitting of the figure's parts took me a good 30 minutes and believe it or not, but making this lightsaber took just as long

Image

Tomorrow I'll start sculpting the armour. I won't be making too much robes and such for him. I just have this thing against fur covered species wearing full Jedi garbs. It just doesn't make sense to me :)

LukeSprywalker!

I also love your version of a Nikto Sith. The shoulder pads are above the cloth cape, the Vader belt fits in right and (I am not sure) you greywashed the Nikto head?

Looks really nice. I am anxious to see your Jedi when he/she is finished (The WIP pic looks great so far).

It seems that I have a period of re-working figures at the moment.
That is why I decided to give my Sith Assault Leader another go:

Sith Assault Leader final version

Changes:
- Armour was repainted in a dark grey (compared to the light grey before)
- Head, breathing mask and eyes have slightly been improved
- Hood had been made larger so that you can see his face better

Wow, you guys are absolutely tearing it up on this one... some excellent work so far.

Also, great seeing something other than a Sith or Jedi, like what Tonphanan did recently -

Also as a reminder, as this is the 30th Yakfinities, there are going to be three random entries picked that will receive a prize. Here are the prizes, in no particular order:

1 - $25 Shopping Spree at http://www.kandccollectibles.com (Courtesy of K&C Collectibles)

2 - $40 Shopping Spree at http://www.entertainmentearth.com (courtesy of Yak_Den)

3 - Choice of three Legacy Figures (courtesy of Yak_Chewie)

The first winner will get their choice of prize, then the second place forum member gets to pick what they want, then the third forum member whose name is drawn gets what is left.

Good thing the GI Joe line came out when it did, it looks like those figures are quickly being converted into SW figures! Its cool to see a bounty hunter, when most of us did Sith and Jedi - it turned out well and certainly fits the era.

Here are my Jedi and Sith to go with the others. How much longer do we have on this? I would like to get a bounty hunter in here before it is over.

This one goes through August... really liking that Jedi by the way. Neat design, the covering of his mouth looks great... looks like Panaka arms, correct? Great call on the parts with him.

It is an Anakin body with the Captain Typho arms from TLC last line. The head is Desert Ambush Duke and the covering is the Joe comic pack Beachhead.

The Sith is nothing special, but I will say to anyone that wants to paint ALOT with gold..DON'T DO IT!!! This guy drove me nuts because gold is VERY thin in application and runs everywhere.
