I've been thinking... with the Disney buyout of Lucasfilm, and Disney stores rumored to be carrying a lot of SW merchandise in the future, could we see some sort of return of an Indiana Jones line? Perhaps just exclusive to Disney stores? Kind of fun to think about... if this happens I would assume we'd see pretty much just repacks but who knows? Maybe they'd find a way to make some sort of box sets with a new figure here and there?

I don't know, i think they'd need a new movie or something to do that.

There is (was?) a fairly crummy line of Indiana Jones figures sold only at the Disney Parks. I haven't been to the park in years, so I have no idea if it's still being sold, but I did buy a couple of the figures (way, way before the Hasbro line.)

But when the Big H's line went belly up, I was honestly surprised that they didn't bother selling those figures (and the "cancelled" second raiders wave) at the park.

Maybe it's just too expensive for Hasbro to pay for the license and produce the figures. I always thought it was a natural fit for those figures to end up at the park. Heck, if they sold those crappy figures, why not sell decent ones?

But it was clear from comments from the Disney brass after the Lucasfilm sale that Indiana Jones is NOT a priority for the company.

Which is too bad. I think there is still a chance for a VERY limited amount of Indy merch out there. But I guess licensing and legal issues are too thorny.
