Yeah, I just saw that report. Sweet! :D

Now it's up to the stores to actually DO something about all the empty and poorly-stocked pegs. I hope they do so soon. I'm planning some toy runs in the next few days and it'd be nice if they'd do so before I get there.

So these are in stockrooms now. The problem, is this communication actually going to make it to the store employees. I can tell you now I can stand on my head and swear on any holy book to my store but if all they see is the date on the case They are not putting it out.

I hope you're wrong, but since many if not most toy department employees are probably paranoid about keeping their jobs they'll probably avoid the TPM figures like the bubonic plague if they see the "January 30" date stamped on the cases. I hope the word of Hasbro lifting the date makes it to the storerooms in my area. There's little more than jack-squat on the pegs right now and it would make little or no sense for retailers to start 2012 with empty shelves. Heck, at this point I wouldn't mind seeing the Ponda Baba/Hoth Rebel Soldier/Bastila Shan wave again just to make things more interesting.

Cool...but did you post your pics yet? Because I can't see them... they're not showing up.

If you haven't done it yet I apologize. As an enormous fan of the new wave I'm really looking forward to seeing what your pics look like. You said you found Daultay Dofine...what was the second figure you bought?

NICE! Yeah, I can see them now...

I'm really digging your Daultay. Since I left mine MOC I didn't know what he looked like without his outer cloak. Skinny S.O.B. isn't he? :D He's the best Neimoidian since Rune Haako(1999) so far as I'm concerned. The customizing potential of this new guy is limitless as he can be tweaked to represent so many different Trade Federation guys on both the droid control ship and the surface of Naboo.

I left my Quinlan Vos in the package too since he's the only one I've found(so far) but if I can score a second one I'll keep him loose with his accessories like yours. He's probably the weakest of the new figures I've actually found, but even then I gave him a solid B grade in my little mini-review. He's the best Quinlan Vos action figure yet, putting the one(s) from the Comic Packs to shame.

Drod26 did you find the Vos local ?

Vos is a cool looking figure. I just can't wait to add Vos,Kenobi,Jinn,Little Ani,Sidious and Maul to my Jedi and Sith. I am also kinda looking forward to Ratts. He looks like a cool little guy.

Ratts is very cool. As is the Pit Droid that comes with him, a pinkish-red paint variant we haven't gotten before(not to mention a figure that is actually bigger than Ratts is  ). Ratts was actually *the* very first TPM wave figure I took off the pegs when I saw them. He's probably the tiniest Podracer action figure that has yet been made, even smaller than Dud Bolt or Mars Guo(from the 2006 SAGA Collection). If you take him out of the package, be careful so you don't lose him.

Uncertain if anyone has tried this.

I understand Jinn and Kenobi are straight repacks. Wonder if these two heads are easily swapped on the better body of the ball jointed hipped AOTC Obi Won. Please let me know if you have tried.

Thanks

Chewie - I agree the head scupt is outstanding. A few layers of blue paint on the head and redoing the eyes he could pass for an older Duro..Which would make a great figure for the next yakfinities. HINT HINT.. What you think..

rc-1207 - got the Vos online for a good deal. Dude you wont be disappointed to add these to your collection specially since you are focusing on building your jedis and sith. I can wait to find the rest of the wave my self.

DarthEddie - yes Daultay is a skinny S.O.B!! The body also works for a younger teen character..

Next up is the Naboo Royal Guard
Man where do I start on this figure:
-Lack of detail it doesnt have.. The torso and arms are perfectly sculpted and with excellent detail. Hasbro did an awesome job painting the coat. The shading on the creases gives it some depth and brings out the details which makes this figure for me..
-Blaster looks good too. They put some time on it and we didn't get just a piece of black plastic. Its one of the best detail next to Bov Vimdim rifle.
-The sculpt is acceptable.
-Helment - its acceptable, I am not a big fan of the blue, yellow blue stripes.
-Upper legs - Not to much to say about the upper legs.
-Boots - Good detail here. I like the detail that they put into them and they will make great donors for future customs..
Hope this helps.. :D

I absolutely love the new Naboo Guard. It's perfect army building fodder. But when I look at my figure I can't help but notice its resemblance to Adam Sandler or David Schwimmer. I keep half-expecting my figure to launch into an impression of Cajun Man from SNL!

"Collec-SHON!!!" :D

Awesome idea!

Also, thanks so much for the Amidala you sent me with the Christmas custom you made for me, I need to get off my tail and snap some pics. Been behind on things because I am recovering from being sick all week, but Sunday I should have time to snap some pics finally.

The first thing I'm doing with the Vintage Naboo Royal Guard is trying to swap out the helmet with the Episode I version. Hasbro really screwed up the paint app on this new figure. Those stripes are just... ugh.
