I wish we'd been able to see the powerpoint presentation. There were probably at least a couple of pictures of these Battle Packs on the screen and nobody had the chance to capture images of them. Quite a bit of mystery would already be solved if we saw one or two grainy photos.

Wow. Most of those just...suck.

I wasn't expecting much to be honest with you...but I was hoping they'd be better than THESE. Look at the Vintage 1980s/POTF2-style leg joints on the Naboo figures. :? The hell?! And those head sculpts on Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon don't look very good to say the least. The less said about the uber-crappy Luke with the blonde hair the better. Yikes. That one blows like a Nor'easter.

Right now the only figures that look even moderately appealing in any way are the Maul and Boba...and even those look like they have some shortcomings. It's amazing how we go from the majestic and exciting Royal Starship Droids to Battle Packs like these in such a short amount of time. Is Hasbro TRYING to sabotage the Battle Packs line or something? First the Geonosis and Rebel Heroes stinkburgers...now these, which are only marginally better. They'd better get good, and fast. Or else these things are going the way of the Comic Book 2-packs.

Wow, that TPM set sucks. I can't believe how poor those figures look. They really are going for kids only with that set.

The ESB set looks much better, but those figures leave a lot to be desired. I might pick that up though actually. My son was upset tonight when playing with a couple Vaders as their helmets kept popping off - this figure looks a lot better for him. I'm actually kind of interested in the Fett/Luke myself, but would likely give those to him. The Luke's legs look like a repack of the OTC Dagobah Luke.

The Vader might not be a complete loss. We haven't gotten a new-from-scratch ESB Vader mold in...what? Several years or longer? I might have spoken too soon about him, but the Luke doesn't impress me. Not with that 1980-looking yellow hair. Some people give the 2006 Vintage Saga Collection (Bespin) Luke flak for being an inferior figure, but it looks better than this thing. I hope these are just early test shots of the figures and that the final product will look better. If both sets end up being better than these pictures then I might consider picking them up. If not, then the Bespin one is the only one I'll pay any attention to...and even then I'm not 100% sure I'd get it. If Vader and Boba are kinda cool then I'll bite, and just try to ignore the Luke.

With these packs being listed as Movie Heroes, I understand the poor articulation. However, what's inexcusable is the fact that Hasbro used tooling dollars for these figures. If this is the trend, then I'm afraid to see what poorly articulated, action feature oriented figures Hasbro has planned for the MH line once the OT in 3D hits.

Yeah, really surprised about the design of these. The hip joints scream 70's/80's Kenner. No knee articulation, No elbow articulation...if it wasn't for the dynamic poses I'd say they were going for a "real" vintage look.

No wonder they didnt release the slideshow! haha I'm not buying either of them. The only plus is that these slides were leaked by the same person that posted the Ewok and pilot slides - that helps confirm that they are real...

Absolutely agree! How many times have we heard Hasbro say they only have a limited amount of money to spend on tooling? And then they spend it on THIS?!!! Every one of these figures has been produced a bunch of times. Put some existing ones in a BP. Don't waste money making new completely inferior figures.
Hasbro, I keep trying to give you my money. Why do you make it so hard?

These feel very vintage-y to me. Call me crazy, but I like them. If more realistic styling/likenesses take precedent over articulation and price, I'm all for it.

What the F***!

Seriously where do i start, quality goes down as price goes up i bet aye Hasbro!!! Like mentioned the whole costing for these and other crappy gimmicks gets on my nerves when Hasbro goes on about costs, i'd have been less disappointed if they were rubbish saga repacks than the money be wasted on these abominations; it's the 21st century Hasbro not even kids will want this... Kid 'hmmm uber cool Vintage Maul, Kenobi and Jinn or this?' I've seen kids picking SW toys, heck any toy in general and their into it just as much as us lets not forget. My only hope is the reason we didn't see these and the slideshow wasn't shown is that Hasbro got a mouthful at the presentation and these will be cancelled! Think thats the onlt time i've ever asked for something to be cancelled!!

EZ Pass for me, it looks like Hasbro has a rule around the BP's of never giving us 2 awesome figures in one BP. Also, a rule around going back 5-10 years and either repacking figures from them or creating "new" sculpts based on those figures :?

The more I look at the Bespin set the more likely I am to give it a shot and be open-minded. But that Naboo one rubs me the wrong way. Those Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon sculpts and paint jobs just scream "lame." I'm not going to spend $25(or more) just to get a new Darth Maul, who may or may not be a letdown himself. :?

I've wrote a Q&A complaint question, doubt it will be sent but i reckon we should be vocal with stuff like this; if we all complained then maybe they'd listen.

Whats with the big torsos on all but Luke, is there some gimmick?
