Rebels Mission Series

Figured we could chat about some of these Mission Series sets, including the new SDCC reveals.

It's nice to see that 3 of the 4 sets come with a Stormtrooper - I like that kind of approach by Hasbro. Gives kids and collectors another army builder to add to the Imperial ranks.

Of course I don't care for the 5POA or animated styling, but what also is a bit of a letdown is that these sets won't all be available at once. See the dates on the placards...

Love them all! And I like that we get more stormies as well :)

I am definitely in for the droid set (sucker for anything C-3PO) and the Hera set. The other two, I might get. If my son wants them, then they are definite buys.

I'm guessing these will ship alongside more Han/Chewbacca, Vader/Luke sets... which really, I don't think the market is asking for... but that's typical Hasbro... right?

I'm glad to see Sabine and Hera - I think these animated figures look great. If the realistic Mission Series 2-packs were as nice, I'd buy far more of them. Seeing these Rebels 2-packs makes me wish they did something like this for the CW line - I would have gladly bought these instead of seeing the line vanish.

with the TRU reset next month, and the placards saying the Rebels figures will come out in October or later, what exactly will be on the pegs in August?

I am very excited about the new show and look forward to watching it.

For me, I am motivated to use my existing custom fodder (which is a lot frankly) to just make the figures from the new show so as not to support the animated style.

I can do that for all the figures and looking forward to the opportunity to try and save a little money--hopefully.

I wish Hasbro would take more time in between using main characters

I already have these two, granted Ezra has different deco

looks like the pattern will remain: main characters over and over and over again

Why aren't there official pics of Hera, Zeb and Sabine yet? The figures were on display at the Hasbro section...

Weird.

Is Sabine's helmet removable? Hard to tell at this point......

Sadly, as I'm not really a fan of the animated design in figure form and especially not a fan of the lousy 5POA, I'll have to skip all of this stuff.

I just wish the Cesi "Doc" Eiriiss figure from the Rebel Pilot legacy pack hadn't been so ugly - would have been perfect fodder for a "realistic" Hera custom!

I read somewhere (JTA?) that Sabines helmet is not removable.

The new Ezra is nice to have, but the same Kanan that is now being released 4 different ways?

Not that I'm collecting these, but that's pretty weak!

Yeah, that's just terrible.

Man, I would just LOVE a "realistic"/SA take on all of the Rebels characters!
