I really loved the vintage one the few times I got to play with it at my friend's house. This one seems inferior. Too scaled down or something. I liked the swing out doors and cockpit of the original. I wonder what's going on under that hood. I need to see a production picture to get a better sense of this new sculpt.

The figures look like they tower over the vehicle! It looks way under scaled. :/ I was super excited about this too...

I completely agree; it's the scale here that ruins this for me. I still plan on getting this, but as typical Hasbro these days, this looks pretty small. The side walls barely go up to the knees of the troops. The old school vintage version had those sides go up more. This is Hasbro going with as minimal as they can and it's getting tiresome. The comics also show how the troops should be more "snug and secure" than this.'

I was jazzed for this vehicle, but the high-res photos are lessening my desire for this now. The troopers definitely appear much too large for the compartments they ride in, which screws with the aesthetic a great deal.

Went from a must-have to a likely skip for me...

It drives me nuts that they go through all the trouble to create tooling for a new vehicle, yet they don't do it justice. I mean, why bother?

The only business related reason I can think of is they "had" to get this to a certain price point. Which sucks. I'd rather pay a little more and get a vehicle that would be LOT better. As it stands, I might only get one, or zero.

But a little more EFFORT from Hasbro, and I'd probably buy 2-3 of these. I am all for them firing some high ups and replacing with people that are fans of this stuff. Because I don't feel the people responsible for the directions at Hasbro recently really care about the product. They just want a quick buck and move onto the next thing.

I dunno. I still think their 2012 approach, which failed miserably, is the ultimate culprit here. It's not the economy or any lines Hasbro tries to feed us. It's a culture at Hasbro stuck on stupid.

Those pics look great, again though the size we know is just too small.

I guess at least we're going to have some NEW vehicles at retail finally, first time in YEARS actually.

Seeing it makes me almost want to pick up the original instead. Where's the prison cell? I guess it's really based on the show rather than the original, though. It can hold a lot of figures, though. I will give it that.

It looks like it has room for three figures in the cockpit. Mind you, they're positioned akin to the snowspeeder.
