Exar's cape cloak thingie can come forward over his right side as well over his shoulder. He also has shoulder armor over the right shoulder as well. I will take better pics of both of them another time, not really feeling like it right now.

In my creation of this custom, I combined a lot of the aspects seen in the character books, both omnibus of the "tales of the jedi", and the internet.

I've been working on him for a while, and honestly I think it came out pretty good.








With Nomi


I resculpted his face, and removed horns of plenty off the head.
At one time he was a red triceratops.

The best part of this dino is the fact it growls like a dinosaur, when you move the front left leg.

These are really nice - thanks for posting. The Thon is definitely my favorite - really amazing work on that. What did it look like before you started? Trying to get a feel for what the base product was like. Also, do you have more pics of your Nomi - she looks like a terrific custom as well. Hope to see more soon!

Thon- was originally a red dinosaur from the toys r us discovery toys line of dinos.

I really like what you did with Cad Bane. I've seen a few differnet customs of him made, and they've all been enjoyable to see. This one is no exception. How did you make the hat, if you don't mind me asking?

Rex couldn't have been easy with that custom made mask... I wonder if Hasbro will get to him in this outfit at some point.

Master Thon is nothing short of amazing and is my favorite out of what you've shown us so far. You turned that dinosaur into something that looks like you'd see Hasbro thow in Battle Pack these days - stellar work, especially on the changes to make to the head... wow. I am stunned with how awesome this looks.

Keep up the excellent work, looking forward to more!

Nope don't mind at all chewie.

I started with a tatooine Luke's hat from the saga line, "farm boy" Luke

I then used kneadatite all around itforming it out into a hat shape. I then used a baby food jar lid to cut it to a roundness, but left some imperfections in the shape to give it a worn look.

I placed plastic wrap over the body and head of Cad, the cut it a bit more to shape it so it didnt look so big.

The paints I used were:
Model master grey primer
Burnt Umber and Burnt sienna, both from model master

Prime it first
Paint it umber first, let it dry
Then take some pastel burnt sienna brown and make into a powder
Paint the hat with a dry brush of sienna and take the powder and brush it over the sienna while its still tacky, making sure too get it on the umber as well.

Thon is one of my favs as well.
I actually have another rex in the works.

Yeah that Master Thon is pretty impressive. I think everyone should have a Master Thon on their shelf like that lol. I always liked the idea behind his character back in TOTJ. Very original Jedi, and figure custom. I've been out of customs for years now, but I might actually try one at him, or would love to see Hasbro make one. We'd be lucky if it was even half as good as what you've done.

Hell man, anything from TOTJ is an awesome custom. I love the Ulic and Kun as well. Nomi I think is a tough one to make though. She appeared very different artist to artist, and had the most hair and costume changes. It's hard to pick one I think. My favorite might be the second artist from her original Storyline in the KOTOR TPB.

OH and that Cad Bane is pretty sweet. I haven't seen any other customs of him, so I am not sure what I'd be comparing yours too, but I like yours better than the few pictures I've seen of the CW one that should be out soon. Yours has more of a bulk to him thank being lanky and I think it comes out much better, tougher and grittier.

I agree Nomi was hard too do. She looked so different from panel to panel. I have another custom in the works for her, that will look more like she did from the artist you were talking about, or at least Ill try too do it that way lol.

Cad was a real let down for me, as a character. All this hype, and bs flying off the screen during the promos for the shows. HE IS CAD BANE, HE IS BAD A$$ED, BLAH BLAH BLAH.

Personally, he was some rip on Clint Eastwood, who tries to be a mando with his gaunts, and tries to out do the bada$$edness that is Jango and Boba.

Personally he failed in every account or try in the show. Jango didnt need a cavalcade of helpers to take out someone or something, he was his own team.

Im not going to lie, I hate Cad Bane, he is weak, and the character is lame. But I still did a custom any way, cause I have a fetish for mandos and bounty hunters.
I also thought I could at least piece together a movie non animated style of him that would be better than hasbros.

I wish hasblo would realize that anything from Knights totj are gold waiting to happen. But they fail to catch on too what, " the FANS" want.

Hah, well I think you may have sold me off on the Cad Bane Stomping. I know Boba worked with BH partners periodically, but even then, you have to wonder how much help Dengar really was lol.

I liked the idea of Bane because I always had a thing for spaghetti westerns, so even if the character might be a rip off of sorts, I still enjoy it. While on the topic , I'm going to throw this in to. I greatly enjoy the use of the IG series droids on the show. 88 always looked so stiff on screen and action figure form, but in the show they seem like a pretty good threat.

And switching to the topic of Nomi, there is a miniature figure of her made by Wizards of the Coast in their game. It's nice they decided to make a rendition of her, but it's pretty hideous. Let me grab a picture. It's about an Inch tall but good lord did they screw her up. Compare it to the quality of most figures and there is no excuse.
