Thanks so much once again, Chewie.

Appearing in the Dark Horse Comics series "Darth Maul: Son Of Dathomir" completing the sixth season of The Clone Wars, Rook Kast is a Mandalorian super commando serving Lord Maul in the Shadow Collective.

Now that's and interesting character, I've never heard of her! You translated her very well from comic to figure - the "template" figure was chosen wisely ;)

That looks great! Nice sculpting work on the head, especially.

Thanks muchly, Evilivo and my kind of scum. It was a bit of a change of pace for me to not put together a complete fabric costume for a non-vintage style figure, so your comments on Rook Kast were certainly nice to read.

Next up, inspired by the spectacular costume of Vegas PG Cosplay, here is my interpretation in 6" scale of how Power Girl might like in the DC Comics Red Son universe, where Superman landed in the Ukraine instead of Kansas, became leader of the utopian Soviet state and quelled dissidents such as Batmankoff through radical surgery.
"Power Girl - strange visitor from another world who can change the course of mighty rivers, bend steel with her bare hands and who, as the champion of the common worker, fights a never-ending battle for Stalin, Socialism and the international expansion of the Warsaw Pact."

Recipe:

* my own cast of DC Direct Power Girl's head
* DC Universe Classics Wonder Woman (for the entire body, sans head and hands)
* DC Universe Classics Mary Marvel (for the hands)
* some modelling clay
* some material
* Citadel "Elf Flesh", "Chaos Black", "Skull White", "Red Gore", "Bubonic Brown", "Bestial Brown", "Ice Blue" paints

With a penchant for wearing earthtones and chrome and a general desire to be a "bad guy", the Bith travelling merchant Bannab Fan supplies fuel to the Rebel Alliance in their ongoing struggle against the Galactic Empire.

Recipe:

* my own cast of Gentle Giant Bith Bust Up (for the head)
* GI Joe Storm Shadow (for the entire body, sans head and forearms)
* GI Joe Neo-Viper (for the forearms)
* some material
* Citadel "Bleached Bone", "Boltgun Metal", "Regal Blue", "Chaos Black", "Scorched Brown" paints

This guy started life wanting to be a Dieselpunk style alien, but somehow ended up almost becoming a Browncoat.

I already posted in the Yakfinities thread, but it's funny you mentioned him as a browncoat. I had almost referred to him as "Bith Captain Mal." He looks awesome, though. Nice work.

Thanks heaps, my kind of scum. Browncoats gotta stick together!

First introduced in the final Dark Horse Comics eponymous Star Wars series, Perla assisted Han Solo evade Boba Fett by escaping Coruscant on an Imperial Center Sanitation Department waste transport barge.

Thanks so much, my kind of scum and Chewie.

Speaking of Leia...

With the Comic Con announcements of 6" Black Series Han Solo and Tauntaun and Luke Skywalker and Wampa sets coming and my previous 3.75" version looking a little dated, I figured that it was time to revisit Princess Leia in her Hoth Rebel Solder costume as shown in behind the scenes photos from the making of The Empire Strikes Back, but this time in 6" scale.

Recipe:

* my own cast of Episode III "53 Princess Leia (head)" Pepsi bottlecap
* Mattel DC Universe Classics Mary Marvel (for the entire figure, sans head)
* some modelling clay
* some cheap hair extensions
* some material
* Citadel "Elf Flesh", "Chaos Black", "Skull White", "Scorched Brown", "Red Gore", "Codex Grey", "Ice Blue" paints

From his shop in Mos Espa, Watto dabbled in junk dealing and human trafficking before losing a large part of his fortune as a result of a failed bet with the Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn. Given Hasbro is probably unlikely to get around to him any time soon, I thought that I would put together my own 6" scale version of the character as he first appeared in The Phantom Menace.

Image

Recipe:

* my own cast of Episode I "Watto (Head)" Pepsi bottlecap
* Episode 1 2-Headed Announcer (Fode and Beed) (for the upper legs, torso and majority of the smaller arms)
* my own cast from Sculpey Woman push mold (for the arm extensions, torso extension and lower legs)
* a cheap dragon toy (for the wings)
* some modelling clay
* some material
* Citadel "Desert Yellow", "Scaly Green", "Bronzed Flesh", "Chaos Black", "Skull White", "Golden Yellow", "Scorched Brown", "Tin Bitz" paints
