Completed EpVII Han Solo & Completed 'No-Sculpt' Starkiller!

Postby WookieBalls » Sun Mar 04, 2012 11:28 am

Hi all

My name is Ray and I'm based in the UK. I've been customising figures since last September(ish)

I'm usually found on ISY but a couple of folks there also pointed me in this direction. Glad to see some familiar faces here too!

Anyways here's a bunch of customs that I've made since I got into the hobby...Hope you like some of them...

Here's a group of three SA Star Wars / The Centurions crossover figures that I made. I used the BLANX figures as a base for these...

Welcome! You've got some really great work. I really like your ALIENS figures, do you actually use these for playing the RPG, or are they just based on the characters in your game? :)

You have some wonderful looking pieces here, WookieBalls, and I am particularly happy to see a decent smattering of characters from the fairer sex. Although I am not really much of a clone person myself, I have to say that I am quite enamoured with your blue and green crossover characters - they are very distinctive.

Keep up the great work!

@Drod26 - thanks! I love SOTE, funnily enough my next planned piece is a Guri! Dash is my favourite EU character.

@Dan - the marines are based on the player characters from the RPG I run - in game we use converted GW figures (and other indie pieces!) glad you like them!

@Mousedroid - Cheers mate! The centurions cross overs were fun to do - and a real learning curve for me (see below pic) I have a couple more female figures still in the mix too!

Thank you all for the warm welcome!!

This is great stuff... sorry I have not commented in more detail yet. Just going through a "busy as hell" stretch.

WB,

I'm overwhelmed with the amount of excellent custom figures that you provide in your thread.
Lately, I'm more affiliated to the Clone Wars era and so, I have to admit that your Clones are real eyecatchers.
Never would have thought that Clones might look good when you mix them up with Iron Man figures but I was proven
wrong.

And your various SOTE figures are even better. That Dash Rendar custom is exactly what I hoped Hasbro would release
some time. Parts work extremely well together...and the paint job is flawless.

In case it's ok, would you kindly share the recipe for the Swoop Biker. I'd like to try something like that myself.
Cheers. And very well done!

@ Ghost - hey man, good to see another familiar face on here!

@ YC - thanks very much for the warm welcome :)

@ Phantom - thank you very much for the very kind feedback! The SOTE Swoop Bandit is made from...

1. TVC Bespin Luke - body and hands
2. ROTS Clone - forearms
3. Kashyyk Trooper - belt kit
4. Apartment Jango - leg armour (resin cast)
5. Galactic Marine - back pack (resin cast)
6. ATRT Driver - chest armour (resin cast)
7. SOTE Swooptrooper - head and kneepads (used as shoulder armour!)
8. SOTE Dash Rendar - blaster pistol

Thanks again guys - hopefully my Guri will be complete this week!

All the best,
Ray

Oh I forgot to add - the wonderful resin parts are cast by Clonehead (Clint) on ISY!
