Space Walls by GTP

Postby YAK_Chewie » Mon Aug 22, 2016 10:13 pm

After years on end of begging Hasbro to make playsets and dioramas, and being ignored, something wonderful has happened.

http://galactictradingpost.com/

I placed by first order of 6" space walls last Thursday... and received my order today already!

Check out the goodness... they are plastic injected molds, and top of the line quality.

They are modular, so you can display them however the heck you want. They are exactly what so many of us have been waiting for, creating mockups for Hasbro to consider, etc. But as we all know, the powers that be have never delivered on this - not even close.

For collectors like myself, this is a dream come true. And my 9 year old son freaked out setting them up. He was literally glowing with excitement and our next door neighbor's kid was here for a bit - and I wanted to get his reaction - he's 8 years old, and loved them too, and even asked where I got them because he wants a set.

Way to go GTP - you have achieved greatness and truly listened to the fans and these are great for kids as well. Thank you for this - I will be ordering much, much more from you guys. I feel like I am finally going to be able to display my collection, make dioramas, photonovels, etc. the way I have always wanted to. More designs are on the way, including 3.75" scale (look out, bank account!). And hopefully other environments too.

Looks like I'll be needing to place an order for my son soon so he doesn't take these from me... especially once the 3.75" scale sets are available... and while they aren't cheap, the quality is there - and it's not there's been much in the toy aisles for a while that I've wanted to buy since Hasbro is just a shadow of the company they used to be when it comes to Star Wars.

Between these Space Walls and the high quality Boss Fight Studios figures, I'm finding 3rd party items to be far more interesting than the items Hasbro has been offering...

Looks great. Once 3 3/4" are available I'll have to pony up.

I give up! I can't compete with something FACTORY made. This isn't a kit. I worked at a place that injection molded and it is not cheap at all.
Hasbro, I keep trying to give you my money. Why do you make it so hard?

They are simply amazing. I can not recommend these enough.

These guys are also making diorama accessories too, to help fill out scenes. I was fortunate enough to receive a few prototypes from them. These are rubber, but the final product will be in plastic. So it's basic storage crates, a barrel and some sort of little boxes. Just look great for makign a diorama come to life.

I snapped a few pics today, with their background walls. Pardon the flooring, I know it looks bad compared to their product. It's all I had to work with today though.

...once the 3.75" walls are released, I think they are going to have trouble keeping up with demand. Lets hope the collecting community really gets behind these guys so they can keep doing this, and release even more items.

Their currently available items are here:

I ordered some of the 3.75" walls as well. Curious how long it will take for them to ship out as I haven't received a shipping notification as of yet.

Looks like a bit of a delay on the 3.75" items, don't have any details yet.

Has there been any further word on these? They seem to have deleted their facebook account and I don't see a new date listed on their Twitter or Instagram accounts.
