Thanks, for my next projects, I'm considering the following:

Urelia Homestead - A home for Alyssa and Caldin Enloe after the end of the Clone Wars. If I make this, there will be a home with an interior (kitchen, bedroom, family room), a set of exterior walls, and courtyard, and a landing pad.

Rebel Outpost - Something in the early days of the struggle against the Empire... with turrets, a command center, etc.

Hoth Trench - This is something I've wanted to do for years, and with the new Hoth box sets, I feel inspired to get on the ball.

Hmmm... my son has been eyeing it lately, and I was thinking about giving it to him for his Cobra troops... if not, I'd probably part with it for a bit less than what I paid for it... I believe I paid $45 or $50 for it. Might sound pricey, but it's a really cool piece.

That sucker would be wasted on a 3 year old ;-) He prolly wouldn't see any difference between that awesome dio and a pile of random rocks ;-) I'll gladly pay what you said there plus shipping... ;-)

Hope you're enjoying that bunker, Kikinou!

As for my stuff, it's been very nice not thinking too much about customizing the past two months. I have a bit of an itch to look into a rather elaborate diorama setup though for an important location should I launch a new photonovel series though. It would be the Enloe homestead on Urelia.

Last night I began sketching out the layout for the Enloe homestead on Urelia, as well as an Imperial facility on a planet called Essex... will be a while before I go much further, but stay tuned... :!:

Currently I'm researching how to go about making the Enloe Homestead for the next photonovel chapter(s) in my series... stumbled upon this site here - HOLY FREAKING CRAP!

Anyways, most of his stuff is larger scale, but there's certainly some inspiring stuff here, so I figured I'd share that site.

Last night I took the plunge and started measuring, cutting, and glueing some styrene walls together.

So the step toward making the Enloe homestead for the new series has begun, and in my opinion, the first step is always the hardest one to take. But now that I have the basic walls created, things hopefully will continue to progress at a steady pace. l'll have some "in-progress" pics this week.

I will also be working on another project when I have time, which is a custom cantina on the planet Urelia. Both the Homestead and the cantina will play important roles in the next chapter(s) of the series. I also need to make a bit of a diorama for the outside of the cantina as well - a bit of a small town/settlement.

On my lunch break today, I decided to swing by a Hobbytown USA shop to see what kind of styrene they had... and holy crap!

There's a styrene product I had not seen before, called Plastruct... it comes in all kinds of differnet textures, like different kinds of stone... wow. I bought quite a few sheets of it today.

Finding this product is going to make things move along a LOT faster, I think/hope.

how is it price wise, if you don't mind me asking.
They just put a new hobbytown USA in close to my house but I never go
I drive an hour away to "Hobbit Hobbies"
but maybe I'll check out hobbytown now

No pics yet, but I should have some soon. I worked with this "new" styrene for a bit last night.

Price wise, you get two sheets for about 10 bucks. Each sheet is about 12x8. The "texture" ones are really thin, so I'm glueing them to thicker pieces. So essentially, each "wall" is about a foot long, and costs me around $15.00 in material (I make each wall 2-sided - the thick middle piece is about 5 bucks, then on each side there is a 5 dollar "texture" piece glued on).

Not very cheap, but for photonovel ease and saving a lot of time, this is perfect!

Started on things a few days ago... this is going to turn into my take on a custom cantina (not the Mos Eisley one, but a fan fiction one).

I've made some significant progress since this pic was taken. Should have more pics pretty soon and some previews to the next chapter too.
