Everyone, thank you immensely for your continued support in this photonovel endeavor. It's been a very long ride for some of you, and I can't say how much I appreciate those who have followed this series for so long and continued to give me inspiration for keeping it alive.

Now, we're finally at that point in the time-line where everything changes... the end of the Jedi Order...

Image

Image

Image

In a sharp turn of events, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine has revealed himself to be the Dark Lord of the Sith and seized complete control of the Republic!

Image

Immediately issuing a command for all Jedi to be terminated at once, Jedi on the front lines of battle are confronted by their own clone troopers!

Image

They are caught totally unaware of the betrayal...

Image

...and the Jedi Temple burns.

Image

On the remote world of Braatos VII, a clone trooper garrison searches for Jedi survivors.

Image

A group of concerned onlookers watch as Republic troops scatter throughout the capital city of Unitos...

Image

"What's happening?" an elderly Arcona wonders.

Image

"Some sort of rebellion," a Nikto male responds.
"They're hunting Jedi!"

Image

"Listen!" the group's small companion screeches.
"Laser blasts!"

Image

"We best stay out of this; this is the Jedi's problem to deal with. Not ours."

Image

In an adjacent district several troops converge on a battered Jedi desperately fighting for his life... Redwind!

Image

The clones then work together to unleash a deadly barrage of fire...

Image

Within moments the clone troopers have eliminated the noble Jedi!

Image

"Restrict any transports from leaving the city," the commanding officer says while standing over the dead Jedi.

Image

"Amazing he survived the initial blast," one trooper observes.

Image

"All the more reason to believe another Jedi may still be out there," the commander continues.
"Double your search and begin questioning the locals."

Image

Soon after, an Ithorian peasant makes his way past the adjacent alley...

Image

...creeping out from behind a droid factory crawler, a badly injured Jedi pulls himself to his feet!

Image

Kala Mly Shundi cautiously emerges, knowing he must get off the planet if he is to survive.

Image

Meanwhile, on Dantooine...

Image

...the 334 Siege Battalion, unaware of the order to kill the Jedi, has broken into a fortress held by Badoo Corba terrorists...

Image

The team has saved Rykrof's longtime friend, Freelo.

Image

But the primary goal of the mission is to eliminate the leaders of the Badoo Corba. Once the team has begun to move toward the upper levels...

Image

...it has met strong resistance from the organization's Separatist allies!

Image

In spite of the enemy's superior numbers, Rykrof's unit has been trained for this moment...

Image

...the elimination of the Badoo Corba!

Image

Beings from all corners of the galaxy are represented by the evil organization...

Image

...including horrifying machines created for tearing victims apart!

Image

But against all odds, the strike force is relentless in their assault!

Image

And Rykrof is determined to bring down the terrorist organization once and for all!

Image

However, Jedi Master Teltuu Stabo has sensed a terrible disturbance in the Force.

Image

Uncertain of what has happened; he reveals nothing to his comrades.

Image

Soon it becomes apparent that the squad is overmatched by the superior numbers of the enemy forces!

Image

Commando Drake quickly realizes that reinforcements are needed if the unit is to survive...

Image

...he and his men then break off from the main group to shut down the Badoo Corba jamming signal!

Image

Meanwhile, Rykrof presses on in search of the Badoo Corba leader, Mubaas Fuuda.

Image

Splitting into several squads, a small team of Rykrof's men remain on the lower level to provide cover for Rykrof's advance...

Image

...as the others press forward.

Image

Soon, the team gets pinned down by a group of deadly Separatist Lancer Droids!

Image

Led by one of the Trade Federation's military leaders, General Snodd!

Image

"Wait... behind the droids..." Rykrof observes.

Image

"It's Troffar! The Badoo Corba's second in command!"

Image

"No sign of Mubaas," Teltuu adds.
"We'll need to take Troffar alive!"

Image

Rykrof's headset suddenly comes to life with a transmission from Commando Drake!

Image

"Commander Enloe, this is Drake. I've reached the comm center."

Image

"Good work!" Rykrof shouts.
"See if you can break through the jamming signal and contact Admiral Gere! We need reinforcements!"

Image

"Bad new, Sir... detonator went off in here," Drake reports.

Image

"Behind us!" one of Rykrof's troopers warns.

Image

Rykrof then turns to find a group of Battle Droids approaching his position from behind!

Image

"We're caught in a cross fire here Drake!" Rykrof shouts.
"How bad is it?"

Image

"My men are down... equipment is useless... but our communications to Admiral Gere are still being blocked somehow. Schematics indicate a secondary comm unit in the east wing..."

Image

"I'm headed there to shut down the override."

Image

"Damnit," Rykrof curses as the Badoo Corba continue to pin his group down.

Image

"Alright, you're going to have to fall back to the hangar bay so nobody escapes," Rykrof tells his Jedi friend.
"I can handle Troffar."

Image

"Rykrof, the situation has changed," Master Teltuu insists.
"Right now we need those reinforcements. Establishing communication to Admiral Gere's men is vital."

Image

Rykrof then realizes that both Troffar and General Snodd are gone!

Image

"Fine, go help Drake establish contact! Do what you have to do!"

Image

"But I'm going after the Gran!"

Image

Rykrof then strikes a direct hit in the chest of one of the Lancer Droids!

Image

"Very well, Commander. We'll do it your way," Teltuu relents as he turns in response to the Battle Droid advance.

Image

Rykrof then springs forward in pursuit of Troffar and General Snodd!

Image

He quickly rounds a corner...

Image

...and finds himself face to face with Troffar!

Image

Acting on instinct, Rykrof blasts the Gran's weapon out of his hand!

Image

"Get on your knees and get your hands where I can see them!" Rykrof insists.

Image

Rykrof then removes his helmet to reveal his identity to the evil terrorist.

Image

"You Infidel Slime," Troffar laughs upon recognizing his captor.
"You have won nothing, Rykrof Enloe..."

Image

Rykrof then shoves his blaster against the Gran's neck!
"Where's Mubaas?"

Image

"You'll never find him," he growls.

Image

"The Badoo Corba's allies stretch across the galaxy... we will bathe in your family's blood!"

Image

Troffar then reveals a dagger, and lunges forward!
"Die! In the name of Innoril!"

Image

Rykrof quickly fires a single shot at the Gran!

Image

He then looks down at the body of Troffar in disgust.

Image

"Descend to an eternity in hell," he says.

Image

Observing his surroundings, Rykrof then shifts his attention to contacting Admiral Tylin Gere.
"I might be able to use this equipment to shut down their jamming signal..."

Image

"That won't be necessary," the admiral then announces as he enters the room.

Image

"Tylin?" Rykrof asks with suspicion.
"What's going on?"

Image

"I've taken command of this operation," Tylin explains.
"Orders came down from the top. We are to ensure they are followed without question."

Image

"What orders?"

Image

"Executive orders," his friend replies.
"The Jedi attempted to overthrow the Senate and must be dealt with. Now, where is Teltuu Stabo?"

Image

Tylin then turns in response to laser blasts and an anguished scream coming from a nearby room.

Image

Rykrof then races past his friend into the adjacent hallway to investigate!

Image

There he finds a dead clone trooper lying on the ground...

Image

"Light saber wound," Tylin observes.
"Your Jedi friend must still be alive."

Image

"He's gone, Admiral," a trooper reports as he runs into the room.
"Brought down several more of our squad on his way out."

Image

"Would somebody please explain what in the hell's going on?" Rykrof asks.

Image

The conversation is then interrupted as General Snodd is escorted into the chamber by a pair of Admiral Gere's troopers.

Image

"General Snodd," Tylin nods smugly.
"What may I ask is the Trade Federation doing dealing with the Badoo Corba?"

Image

"I demand to speak with the Separatist Council at once!" Snodd replies.

Image

"I'm afraid I can't allow that," the admiral says as he raises his blaster.
"Our orders are to eliminate all the terrorists in this facility; and since you have joined forces with them..."

Image

"...that makes you one of them!"

Image

"Tylin!" Rykrof protests.
"He was an unarmed prisoner!"

Image

"I think the Chancellor will agree with me in this... matter," Tylin coolly replies.

Image

"What about Teltuu?" Rykrof asks.

"He won't get far," Tylin insists.

Image

"My men will handle the situation from here."

Image

Several kilometers away, Teltuu Stabo safely observes the Republic activity surrounding the Badoo Corba complex.

Image

"This can't be happening," he laments.

Image

"The order to kill the Jedi was sent to all clone commanders," Commando Drake replies.
"Palps has gone mad."

Image

"No, this was planned in advance," the Duros Jedi argues.

Image

"The Jedi were deceived... we should have seen this coming."

Image

Teltuu then turns to the veteran Commando.
"So, why did you help me?" he asks.

Image

"I don't shoot friends in the back," Drake replies.

Image

"When they find out what you've done, they'll be after you as well," Teltuu points out.

Image

"I'm well aware of what awaits me if I'm caught," Drake admits.
"So, what's our next move, General?"

Image

"We need to find out if any other Jedi survived," Teltuu says as he raises the macro binoculars again.

Image

"And see which side Rykrof takes."

I LOVE IT! :D :D :D

I was surprised to see Commander Drake not follow orders. This is kind of like an upcoming part I have for Ben and Brent when Commander Fox, from The Clone Wars Series, refuses to obey the Order and helps Forrestal escape alive.

I just knew Kala would survive, but I was disappointed with General Snodd get killed off like that, Tylin is a total jerk. I hope Rykrof kills him on the spot.

I also was right that Teltuu would live it off, the question is about Freelo.

Your plot is similar to Ben and Brent, a clone commander refuses to obey Order 66, the main character leaves the Republic behind while the other stays with the new order. Can't wait for the next chapter, great work

Fantastic!!! Wow, very cool. Good way to segue into the next chapter (I'm so glad there's gonna be a next chapter!)

Sets and all fantastic as always, just terrific. I don't recall seeing the customs of the two charred Jedi before, did you withhold them in order to make them a surprise? :-) What on earth did you use to make the Kala custom?? It's really beautiful. Redwind rocks too, quite a blast those two survived!

So much coolness, one cannot be anything but blown away. Well done! Hurry up with the next chapter!! :-)

Chewie,

What a fantastic chapter, I thoroughtly enjoyed reading it. Your writing is so well balanced and I love the way you are dealing with the subject of Order 66.

Your timeframe is about the same as that in my story, so I was keenly reading to see your direction, and I have to say Bravo! I loved the interplay between Rykof and the Admiral, and the way you cut the scenes was perfect.

Now onto the customs and sets, they are just as much a part of the story as the text and they bring the characters and locations to life and make the story even more enjoyable as a result.

I only wish that more people would venture into the photonovel sections as the amount if work often seems disporoportionate to the level of replies, but I suppose it goes with the territory.

Chewie, I have often said this to you, but you have been a great inspiration to me, thank you so much for making this tremendous effort. I have been waiting for this release for a whil now, and you haven't dissappointed a huge fan.

Thanks so much.

Snodd! NOOOO! Why did he have to die? Why!!!???.....Anyway great chapter, I'm looking forward to what comes next. Seeing this makes me wonder, how might it have turned out if the confederacy would've won...

I've been following Rykrof's adventures for a while but this is the first time I've commented and I must say I've been totally blown away, you have fantastic customising skills, Chewie!
I absoluely love how the story is progressing, and this episode was no exception! Very cool how you included Ki-Adi-Mundi's demise from ROTS! I was sad to see the end of Redwind, inevitable as it was, but I love the way you made the 'post explosion' Redwind and Kala!
I absolutely can't wait for the next chapter to see which direction Rykrof chooses!

Thanks my friend, I'm glad that you liked how this chapter ended up. It was a tremendous amount of work, mostly in the sets, customs and the script. For once, the actual image work went faster than usual, which was a nice suprise. I guess I had this one in my head for so long that I knew exactly what pics I needed to take. Still, a lot of effort but when it goes for the most part according to plan, there's a lot less stress involved.

Chapter 32 will be a ways off, I need at least a month off before I even start thinking about it. But, I do have the basic premise in mind... just working on even more dioramas for it is a bit daunting. Probably going to need to build some sort of all new Coruscant set for it.

Just gets better and better. I've followed since chapter 1, through all the "special editions" and on. Loved every minute of it. I was reading this hoping Snodd would finally get his. And Troffar as well. Your skills are incredible and get better with every chapter. I think the real payoff is still to come. Rykrof finally confronts Mubaas. Not to mention dealing with what to do about the Empire. I would have liked to see him punch Gere in the face after he shot Snodd, but that might not have gone well for him. Keep up the excellent work. I'll be here as always waiting for the next one.

DanOfTheDead wrote:A PERFECT chapter. Great use of those defiant parts. :)

This was a story you were eager to tell, it shows in how timely you got it got it done and how fast paced is reads. Very exciting stuff.

Very glad you liked it... but perfect? I wish... I don't think it's anywhere near that unfortunately. I'm still way too limited in many areas, especially with "distance shots" and lighting. Some of the dioramas are still lacking in so many areas. I'll probably look back someday and kick myself for how Braatos turned out. I'm really not happy with those scenes at all anymore.

The Defiant parts really did help a lot though in the Badoo Corba complex... really saved me a ton of time. I went back to my parents house a couple months back and salvaged that off the old Joe shuttle... all thanks to seeing you do that! Painting it wasn't that bad either, it was a lot easier than I thought. I did rearrange it some by cutting a wall and moving it, but all in all, I probably only spent about 5-6 hours on that particular set, which isn't all that bad in comparison to some of the others. Those walls in the complex too me a lot longer than that because I am usually a disaster in the making when working with foamcore. I suck at it.

Anyways, thank you again for your continued support my friend! I know this was a bit of a long chapter, but I guess it is a bit of a fast paced read when compared to some of the others that migth be a bit dull.

===================================================================

I honestly think it panned out quite great, perhaps on the coruscant scenario, might want to make it a tad bit darker, like the slums of coruscant since the clones are helping Jedi make them more mysterious as if they are in hiding take the helmets off give them a cool look like in clone wars eye patches, double mawhakws get my drift? same goes for rykrof since he's the hero i am sure he will go with the good but might be a twist for sure, also have you thought about making aurebesh banners or signs for your dioramas? kinda like in the city scenes, they always say something funny or off the wall might be fun to incorporate that in to the mix.

anyway over all great chapter and look forward to the next.

Thanks... you know, I felt in ROTS when Order 66 was given, there had to be some clones who disobeyed. I know they were programmed to be loyal, but I think that there has to be some free will with them as well, and if they had built strong personal relationships with the Jedi, not all of them would immediately blast their generals in the back. Then the Republic Commando novels gave me some more bearing on that sentiment, and also granted me some confidence that I could do this in my series as well...

There's going to be some backstory filler on Commando Drake in the future... for instance, where is his squad? Why isn't he part of a 4-man group? That will be explained before too long.

Regarding Snodd, I hated to see him go (as well as Redwind and Troffar), but in the grand scheme of this storyline, they were never intended to live forever. I felt it was time for some changes, and given the situations the characters were in, it felt like it really was time for some characters to die. However, there's a possibility that one of these characters is still alive - but that's pretty unlikely. If do bring one back, there will be a good explanation for it. It's definitely not Redwind though, he met his end thanks to Order 66.

And I couldn't kill Freelo in this story, no matter how bad you want him to die. That's not to say he's untouchable, but if he does bite the dust there's going to need to be a real significant reason why. He's the only comedy in this series, and serves a purpose in giving Rykrof a friend he knows is loyal to him.

Tylin Gere... seems like everyone hates him. That's great though, and exactly what I'm hoping to see. The series needs an antagonist, and so far he's developed into a decent one I think. Back in the early chapters he saw things eye-to-eye with Rykrof. But when Rykrof was stranded on Dathomir, Tylin became influenced by Palpatine. Much more on that will play out in the future.

In terms of your story, looking forward to seeing how you develop it all, and again thank you for the detailed feedback!

Respectfully disagree! I keep getting hung up on that idea, that there NEEDS to be these wide, open establishing shots in a photonovel. But I think this is proof that you can do one with out a giant landscape setup or incorporating elaborate digital backgrounds.

The city if obviously a city, the compound obviously just that. And the shots of Drake and Jedi looking over the terrorist base are obviously on the edge of the wilderness.

Really the only "wide shot" you've got is the view from the binoculars of the base, and that's just an excellent way to show how far off Drake and Jedi are at that point.

I've been agonizing over FLOORS of all things, and I noticed on this chapter you see them in maybe 1/10th of the shots, maybe less!

I think your backgrounds are VERY elaborate without being expansive. You've got a very solid understanding of how to shoot to make a somewhat small area look like a much bigger environment.

I just need to trust that and work on simpler set ups, as I always get hung up on planning out how to make a giant desert battlefield or something.

Yeah - one more chapter in the chronicles still has to play out... I think that's it though. Then I'm taking a vacaction from all of this insane madness... when taking into account the originals from www.thecustomalliance.com, I have been working on these for almost 6 years straight. I've come so close to burnout the past couple years that there have been a couple points where it has almost turned me off of collecting.

You're right - the burnt up versions of Kala and Redwind are ones I've been saving for a while. I finished the one of Kala about 7 or 8 months ago, and the Redwind one about 2 months ago. I've known for a while that I'd need Kala like this, but wasn't so sure about Redwind. I'll post more on the recipes soon in my customizing thread, but Kala's body is from the Comic Pack Clone Emperor figure.

I'm thinking Chapter 32 will be a little ways off, I certainly need a break for now... though thanks for the little "push" - heh.
