Yes! I've only seen one inch of snow in my life. This will be a great way to see a LOT! I guess they're extending the ESB Anniversary celebrations with the Hoth-like Minnesota. Is that MLK weekend?

Well C5 was suppost to celebrate ANH so they put it in Tatooine hot Florida so you never know.

I'm still holding out hope they will bring it to the Anaheim Convention Center and have Star Wars weekends at Disneyland. But no one listens to me.

No foolin' this time. There is a sparsely populated teaser site for Celebration VI up now.

Can't tell you how upset i am at this. for a number of reasons.

First the location. As a north easterner, I feel we have gotten the shaft. There's 6 good reasons to host C6 in the north east. DC, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York, Boston. All large cities in the north east potentially capable of hosting Celebration. Baltimore has a HUGE convention center. Plus, the point of a "roving" convention is to give everyone a chance to get to it. Especially if they can't afford to fly (or gas!) to get there. People who couldn't go to C5 for that reason likely will miss this one as well.

Second is the time of year. Its August. Prime convention season. There's another little convention people may have heard about called DRAGON CON!!! that is only a couple weeks after. Both four day cons, people are going to have to pick and choose.

Location + time of year. August + Florida = HOT AS @*$%!!! Now I know these arguements were made last time...but they still have merit. You have lots and lots of people costumed as Jedi and Troopers. Both hot costumes and you put them in the conditions there and I'm suprised people didn't drop of heat stroke between the parking lot and entrance. Especially when we were made to circle half the convention center outside on foot!
Hasbro, I keep trying to give you my money. Why do you make it so hard?

Last year, my wife and I made a decision that one way or another we were going to go to Dragon Con for our first time. Then C5 was announced. Well, Dragon Con is every year and we hadn't been to any Celebrations. Plus with family in Florida and the plan to go there on vacation that year anyway....it was a no brainer. We now plan to go to Dragon Con this year.

My wife and I have a small business and have considered being vendors at Dragon Con next year. We also have two other friends who have a small business and had planned on being vendors next year at Dragon Con too. Well, now here's our conundrum... go to Dragon Con and potentially do well for the business or go to C6? Both four day cons only 2 weeks aparts, there's no way to do both. Even if money wasn't an issue, thats a LOT of time off work. Considering there are many people who make Dragon Con a staple of their convention going experience every year (and given the proximity to each other), this just gets one big BOOOO!!!!!!
