I'm surprised Cad Bane doesnt have knee articulation as well - I dont really expect Hasbro to release another figure of him - so a definative version would have been cool - but with the figure we're getting, I wont complain at all because its both a new bounty hunter and an alien - so it works for me! I cant wait to get a CW version of Aurra Sing next!
That Ahsoka's another first from ebay seller Tunghori (Chewie and I are regulars there ). The Cad Bane's from another Far Eastern seller, from Malaysia. Tunghori has him for the same price.
I saw a British seller have Cad up for "pre-order", using Tunghori's picture. Don't know about you guys, but I consider that not done (Tunghori typically shoots his figures in front of a carded Unleashed figure).
I ordered four Cad Bane figures from him. Not too fond of the character himself, but I like how he looks. The figure looks great.
For those of you interested in the Cad Bane figure, I got one early in the mail today.
I snapped a few pics to give a better idea of how this figure looks, and what his articulation is.
I was very, very let down. Hasbro didn't give him ANY leg articulation outside of the hips - no knee OR ankle... his wrist are not articulated either, which makes it a joke trying to hold his rifle. On top that, the one I got doesn't have a peg hole in his left foot... all the more reason why I don't like the CW line. I only bought this guy because I really liked him in the cartoon, and hadn't been finding jack at retail for a while.
I will try and salvage this figure through customizing... going to try and give him articulated wrists and new legs. Maybe Trinto Duaba legs would work. Wouldn't be accurate, but I'd rather sacrifice accuracy for some articulation.
That is a disappointment, Chewie. Up to the likes of us again to finish what Hasbro started, right? Have you seen Jokabofe's versions of Cad Bane? He used TAC Jedi Luke's legs which work quite well. And will you add swivel wrists or ball jointed wrists using Lego levers?
That's a beautiful looking sculpt, but the articulation sounds pretty pathetic. I'll still get one to try and customize but it's just unbelievably lame that Hasbro's taken these shortcuts with such an anticipated character/figure.

Fantastic looking figure. Don't care about the leg articulation... as long as he stands up, it's just fine. I'm not going to play with it. Now my son, that's a different story. He will want the legs to be articulated... and the Clone Wars figs are supposed to be geared to kids, right?
