As far as I can tell, yes. It's the original torso and head with articulated legs.

If thats the same Tarpals from the old BP, I cant imagine a lot of collectors snagging this set. I think I'm passing myself - if we're not getting the final and definitive version of characters in these new BPs, I'll be scaling back.

I agree. I already have that old battlepack which is the pretty much the same Kadu and for every one else I already have 'em but they make nice army builders but not really a necessity. Tarpals was the one I had my eye on. I am really curious how much this set is going to cost opposed to original one at 20 dollars.

I will most likely pick up this set. I love Gungan army building and droid army building. But if the price is outrageous (which is likely) I will be forced to pass.

not worth it if all the figures are older sculpts put in a new box and given a fancy name

I had planned on getting one... maybe this will be picked up by a retailer for Christmas. I bet there's a decent chance of that.

Maybe they were planning to put the OTC Tarpal's in and then they saw all the complaints? Shame would have been a good way to get tan S/A BDs and Gungans.

I think it's a really good set. A lot better than the Podrace theme sets!
