Hmmm...nothing there that really interests me. That sucks. I was hoping we'd get some classic OT vehicles or something.

They must be at least $19.99 everywhere. TRU is always a little more expensive than Wally World or Target when it comes to STAR WARS toys and collectibles. I'd be deeply, deeply surprised if they rang up for closer to $17.00 at a Toys 'R' Us.

Not that I'm buying these in any case, mind you...I'm just sayin'.

Will these be helmets that are prone to yellowing in the near future? If these helmets are anything like the Basic and Vintage carded trooper helmets I wouldn't be shocked if the ones that sit on the shelf for a long time will show noticeable signs of yellowing. As per the sculpt itself I suppose this is as good as Hasbro is willing to give us for the time being, flaws and all. Many if not most removable helmets over the past decade have aspects to complain about.

I just got a phone call from a collector buddy of mine who said he was at a Wal*Mart in a nearby college town and saw these repackaged vehicles on the shelf along with some of the new figures(he didn't specify if they were TPM or Movie Heroes or both). He asked me if I wanted him to pick up any of the vehicles for me, but I gave him an emphatic NO. None of these things interest me...they're only marginally more interesting than those redundant, crappy Battle Packs with the pegwarmers inside.

Thanks. But no thanks. Cool new packaging does not always a great buy make.

I don't think these look like they will have yellowing on the helmet, at least not for a while... based on the ones I saw. But the helmet sculpt is so bad and oversized. I really hope they're working on fixing this before too long, otherwise I won't be buying any Phase 2 clones for quite some time.

If it's a Phase 2 clone I really want...like, say, the upcoming Vintage 501st Clone...I'll go ahead and get him unless the helmet is so yellow that it looks like a piece of lemon candy :) but I can see where you're coming from. As hard as Hasbro's tried in recent years to nail the proper size and shape of Clone helmets they've always managed to fall short. As long as they have to fit over a plastic ball-jointed head I suppose they're going to have issues within the collecting community. When you deal with accessories and detail in the 3-3/4" scale things can become rather problematic. Sometimes I wish they'd just stop making removable helmets altogether and return to the types of Clones and Imperial Troopers we got before the current trend started, but that's not going to happen. Too many kids and collectors dig being able to remove helmets and see the head underneath.

Is that the 2006 SAGA Utapau Trooper or the Vintage 212th Clone? I can't tell which. They're so similar and I'm not sitting near my Utapau Clones or my Vintage 212th Trooper to double check...

Yeah, you're right. The antenna on the back of the armor gives it away. Thanks.

And you're also correct about the 2006 Utapau Clone being better than the Vintage 212th Clone. I own the 212th figure but I was never too terribly crazy about the guy...I bought him for the sake of completing his wave. But when the 2006 Utapau Clones came out I can remember being excited about them and wanting to get multiples. Which I did.
