is there a release date for this monster?

Ooooh look at that Obi! It looks like the old TPM line Obi 1 and 2 mashed together.
Wow I want this yes. I do not want the figures at all and I most importantly do not think this is worth the price they are wanting. Still curious if this will even make it to store shelves.

Looks like it's expected to hit stores in late July... if THIS is accurate.

Wonder if there's going to be a street date or something for new product right after SDCC?

Cool TRU have started running their 20% off coupons again that they've been doing the last few summers so i shall get it with one of them just to make it sweeter, hey were all skint compared to the boss as Hasbro!

JTA posted a video. The droids being unload is pretty cool. One thing though, they use the goofy clone wars droid's voice for the sound effects.

I guess that I missed what the street date is... in July though, right?

On a related note (for me!) I was just rewarded with 600 award points at my work (big surprise), which is like $600 in gift cards - the only place that I know of that carries new Star Wars stuff that accepts these award points is Kmart, so that's where I'll probably try and get my MTT.

I will get it. It just depends on when. I won't wait on a sale necessarily but I need to plan for this item. Everything is just so expensive.

My downside is that last year I purchased the Japanese exclusive MTT Pepsi cooler. That thing is huge and awesome. It is a playset, ready for customizing that is spectacular. It won't sit side by side with the new MTT and look identical. The MTT cooler is bigger.

I will get it though.

MTT cooler... I didn't know that such a thing existed until I saw your post. Just did a google search, and it looks cool but certainly the official toy will work better with figures... but the cooler version actually looks like it would be amazing for a custom playset for the Galactic Heroes stuff (though HUGE!).

mine was delivered yesterday and I love it

it's not perfect, but what is?

I'm very glad I have it

Image
there is a storage area on the back top of it, but it isn't very deep
an astromech would scrape the dome on the ceiling

Image
Image
the side panels open up for more play area

the rack extends and retracts smoothly
to have the rack retract, you have to close up the rack by hand
be careful, because the motor will still try to retract even if the rack isn't closed right and jams
just take a minute to close it up properly and it wont be an issue

Thanks for the pics Grimace... I can't wait to find this thing. Big vehicles are far more exciting to me than new figures.

I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned before, but when I picked up my stuff today, my SW dealer had the MTT (boxed) and asked me what was wrong with the picture. It took me a minute, but I realized that the BDs on the box, all have stormtrooper blasters. I haven't heard anybody mention this before.

HA HA your dealer! Yeah it is kinda like that in this hobby.

I am still on the fence, I just do not want to part with the cash. However my OCD "collect them all" is kicking in. Hmm I wonder if I could sue Kenner for installing that mentality in my head as I was a child.
