Nice updates, you were the first user's custom figure page that I ever went through and looked at every page of their custom figure topic and was in awe. If there was some sort of trophy I'd give you it, I just love the "feel" you get from your figures, whether their background characters or detailed pieces.

Between you, Chewie and SithFire30 I reckon you could give Hasbro a run for their money. Sorry I don't reply more frequently but I always just get lost in all the customizing topics and forget to comment. Keep up the good work, look forward to an update!

On another note, what brand/method of paint/painting do you use? It's just that you sculpt some parts onto your figures and they blend into the figure so well but when I tried sculpting and painting it was obvious where I had sculpted because the paint showed up as dry and dull looking againt the rest of the figure.

Liam, if it's any help, I always prime my figures in black and sometimes in white. I never paint sculpted parts without priming :)

hey, thanks again for the warm welcome back, i areally appriciate it. :)

sithfire - good to hear from you, it is good to be back. glad you enjoyed the new figures. as always im a huge fan of your work and you have been putting out some great finished and wip pieces i need to comment on. thanks again friend.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
captain pierce - thanks for the great comments. im happy you enjoyed the troopers. those will most likeley be the last troopers i do for a while since im sort of troopered out. but i have a handful of stuff to post so i hope to get some more feedback from you in the future. thanks.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
danofthedead - thanks for the comments. your right, i have myself grown a bit stale with the clone/trooper customs. to be quite honest these trooper were sitting on a shelf in plain white for months and i just decided one day to finish them up in a 501st deco. the pic of them attacking the jedi was fun to do also, sort of dio-storyesqe. lol thanks again for the great comments.

dd - thanks buddy. glad to hear from you! :)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
jedilfl - wow, im honored that you would have taken the time to go through my entire thread. that is very cool. im glad you enjoy the customs, it is definetley a great hobby! :) i dont know if im quit trophy material, chewie is an amazing customizer and photonovelist and sithfire is more of an artist than a customizer with all that incredible sculpting he does. i hope to have some more new stuff up very soon, thanks for your great comments. :)

as far as the painting and sculpting go, i do a little sculpting here and there, mostly creating a neck or adding a strap, nothing to exstensive. when i do sculpt i put a layer over an entire area then dip my finger in water and rub it over the edge of the sculpting compound until it is flush and smooth with the actual figure surface, then i make my cuts/shapes into it with an exacto/pin etc. then if necessary i sand or file it down....as far as painting i coat all of my fingers in matte black primer before i paint them, if you start with a completley matte figure then the enitre figure with have the matte look rather than just the sculpted pieces.

hope that helps. :D

lt bryll - thanks frined. clone squardron coming your way shortly!

That is some outstanding work... wow, amazing as always my friend. Good to see you get such great use out of that head sculpt by Ben (whatever happened to him I wonder?).

Wow! The headsculpt is exceedingly well done, but you knocked it out of the park with your paint applications on the entire figure. I've been working on improving my paint apps for the whole 10 years I've been customizing, and I don't think I've ever painted any figure as well as this one. Happy customizing!

The painting is fantastic, of course, but I'd also like to point out the very solid parts selection. She's not ridiculously thin, long-legged, or big breasted... looks very believable, and it's obvious you worked hard to make her just that. Very, very nice job on this all around.

Just like your first version of this wise and noble Jedi, it looks great. Very much like Tra'Saa. The lips are a bit too much red for my taste. But I really dig the paint apps on her eyes and robes. A real gem, buddy 8)
