Picked up my first ST movie toy today, got the Bridge playset and it is awesome, just the type of concept i've always wanted from a playset. I even love the vinyl playmat it just helps create the large size!

The view screen is cool and i'm glad the plastic screen slides out so i can transfer it into a window for a Republic Starship or Palpatines window in his room, which is what it reminds me of the most.

The data screens and the helm command centre are really good to and the chairs are so cool.

Cus of the situation with non-US figures, i think i'm going to have to hunt down US version with the playset parts in just so i complete this brilliant set.

Good news for UK collectors, Vivid Imaginations who distribute these here have said the pieces of playset will be available in wave 2 in the UK YAY!!!

Also Tesco have the Bridge Playset for £19.95, I could have saved 5 quid if i'd have been patient; oh well!

Figures are marked down to $4.97 at most Wal-Marts now... apparently as low as $2.00 at some!

Cool new waves and those monsters look great, i notice cus Sulu is Japanese he has to have a sword; because all Japanese people carry swords. :D

I'm ashamed to know this; but Sulu was established in the original series to be an avid fencer... They did change the TYPE of sword he had in this movie... but Sulu's character was always a sword wielder.

Playmates just announced (I belive it was on TNI a few days ago) that they will be doing 3 & 3/4 versions of the ORIGINAL Series next year (Meaning shatner, nimoy ect). Personally I can't wait cause while I like these guys, I would love to have the originals much more.

Also a buddy of mine sent me a McCoy with the head switched with spock body, looks awesome and since I am getting impatiant I am thinking of grabbing a Chechov and doing the same.

Sucks because Wave 2 is the one that really seemed cool... would also have liked to see them make the green babe that Kirk gets on early in the movie.
