^ Yeah, WM discontinued them, while Target seemed to have some of the later releases, but certain others appear to be online only. A few people mentioned seeing Brutus at a grocery store, but that was the extent of it. At least the prices are dropping online, and they appear to be readily available for those that like them.

I went to Walmart the other day and it looks like the line is selling okay there. The pegs were fairly empty (one to three figures each) and there's room for some more to be put out. The line isn't moving at all at Target though. I'll be curious how things look after this weekend!

The loose pics remind me just how much I just want a normal mid-tier line back in the 1:18 scale. Articulation from 15-20 years ago would be fine as long as the sculpts were nice and photo real. It would be more affordable, likely increase sales and start building some brand loyalty from some younger fans.

😉

Yeah, I think we have been talking about this concept for so long…And they just won’t take our advice. LOL

Yeah, I've mentioned that I'd like to see something like the Solo / universal basic assortment (5-9 POA) return for a number of years now - but with this leap to even bigger figures, maybe it will never happen again. Sort of a shame, as I'd buy more figures overall. I'm definitely not buying more TVC because it's the only option, I just end up buying less new releases altogether. I'm still thinking about getting the Anzellan ship, just wish the figures weren't so huge, lol.

Target has put a bunch of it on clearance at 30% off since it barely moved there. It's doing okay at walmart but not nearly as well as the previous versions of the line did.

Check your clearance sections at Target. They've got the Mercenary Droid w/STAP on clearance for $10. There were also a fair amount of the TIE FIghter Lego SMARTBRICK set along with other Lego sets.

Clearing out products this quickly after a movie is a bit surprising and rather telling as well. If Hasbro had a normally sculpted basic 3.75 assortment out on the pegs, I wonder if it would have done better? I have to imagine that Actionverse will be canceled and replaced by something else for the 50th anniversary next year. We already know Retro will have a (slightly?) larger presence, but I don't recall anything else being rumored.

I would imagine the 5POA RO line had to of outsold this weird scale line. The RO line was when they started doing decent sculpts, so then it at least made sense to purchase them for 3.75 purposes. I guess more comparable would be Solo, with the “success” of the films. I don’t think they made quite as much product, but at least that merch was moving!

This action scale is incompatible to my entire collection, so I’d never pick a single one up, ever.

I'm just about certain that every Disney era 5 POA (3.75) assortment from TFA to Solo outsold Actionverse. Things might look different in other areas, but I'm not seeing them moving, outside of the Anzellan ship. I have little doubt than Epic outsold Actionverse as well, because Hasbro reps have mentioned that adult collectors are a huge market, yet how many are buying bulky 4.5-inch scale Actionverse for themselves? Whatever kids line they try next, they should attempt to interest collectors as well, if they want sufficient sales.

The Anzellan ship is probably the only dual purpose item that could be 3.75 adjacent, but it sure seems like everything else is sitting. This is what WM near my work looks like:

It just seems like dollar store crap.
