1:18 sail barge O_O' SWCCMTY represent

'sup every one.
didnt knew where to post this proyect, its a diorama, a custom vehicule, a 1:18 scale model? What I know is that this took us 40 days to put togheter to display it on the 37 cjmyc, the local comic convention here in Monterrey Mexico. there is a lot to be said but instead of that, Ill show you just some pictures so you can have a taste of it. soon we'll have a review and some videos of the production, the transportation, the comic convention and all the fun that we had this last week end.
so hope you enjoy this as much as we did.

the main work team: Rafa, the guy with mustache is the ingeneer that worked all the math and references to adapt the images to a full 3D 1:18 scale vehicule. Gus, the tall and bald guy, he is the clasic guy that want the things to happen, but doesnt know-how-to use a hamer or a screwdriver, now he can use an electric saw with his only remaining aye closed (just kidding); and me the guy with the mohawk that learned to use tools instead of going out with girls in hig school :?

Welcome aboard! This is an amazing diorama. I've seen lots of large sail barges but nothing of this massive scale. There's no holding back here. I also love that it was a group effort! The E.T., Alf, and the Banthas are also really nice touches.

thanks professor! but I have been here for almost a year or so :mrgreen: we have done this huge dioramas for almost 3 years here in our city. first was geonosis, than Hoth, expanded universe dioramas and now this 1:18 scale model

theres a huge star wars fans comunity and about 4 or 5 local fan clubs, including the Monterrey Mex 501sth garison, we put a lot of effort each time to amaze every one else and make our club the best of the best. SWCCMTY stands for Star Wars Collectors Club Monterrey and this year we're celebrating our 10th aniversary so it makes this project extra-special :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

thanks for the kind comments, now we have available a review of the convention , the report of each day of the activities that we had like conferences about costumes and mandalorian mercs, customs and dioramas. And for the first time in the comic convention history, we had a parade. Most of the fan clubs got together to walk from downtown to the convention center, our costume gang wore their best gowns, jedi robes and mando armor for this ocation. Even Yoda was there!!!!!!!

the best thing is that the main guest of the convention was the DELOREAN from BACK TO THE FUTURE, and it joined us in the head of the parade! so every one cheered at us that morning and had a good time
