I'm hoping to be able to continue expanding my GI Joe Classified collection. There have been some interesting looking figures being released this year.
I'm hoping for some nice surprises for TVC, but not holding my breath

I'm buying the occasional Star Wars figure that strikes the ol' fancy. I may try to work on some modern era 4" Joes I'm missing (Club figures and army builders).

A weird one: I've been thinking about getting a complete set of Men of Medal figures. It was a toy line from the late eighties.

Edit: Oh, and I'll keep getting Hot Wheels cars for my niece.

Men of Medal! Holy crap, I’d forgotten all about those. I had a few of them!

For me, I’m gonna stick with TVC and Jurassic Park (mostly canon dinosaurs and humans). Once those classic BSG figures and Viper come out, I’ll get those too.

One goal for me is to spend a little less, overall. Not just with collecting, but spending money on food during the week, and stuff like that as well. I’d like to rebuild some of my savings.

I guess since it's been a couple months since I did the '25 post, I'm pretty sure nothing has changed.

G.I. Joe Classified:
G.I. Joe has now become my primary interest in collecting. It's fun, and there have been lots of interesting figure choices. Even with the price increase, I feel there's more added value with variant heads and hands that are included with the figures. There are a few more that I want (and I'm sure there will be some that will surprise me), but once they get to the neon figures of the early-mid 90s, I'm done.

Star Wars: The Vintage Collection:
Price increase, low character variety, paywalled high-demand figures have killed the love I once had for this. Since the increase, I've yet to order any of the new figures. Even seeing the new stuff doesn't get me excited anymore. Sad. I'm actually thinking about selling off some of my figures.

Star Wars: The Black Series:
I'll pick up the occasional OT figure if it interests me. Also, thinking about selling off some of these as well.

Transformers:
I've been mainly focused on the recent combiners being releases and getting a few characters I enjoyed as a kid in G1 style updates.

NECA Ultimate Universal Monsters:
After receiving the Phantom of the Opera (Red Death) and Metaluna Mutant, I think I'm done. I feel like NECA isn't going to touch further accessory packs since they must not sell well and seem to go on clearance. I'd like to get a 7" Godzilla, if I can find one.

I was driving along, and thought about stopping at a Walmart I don't go to very often to see if they might possibly have Marvel Legends Fantastic Four figures, and it occurred to me. Marvel Legends. I completely forgot to mention collecting ML.

Just saw where those classic BSG figures will be $25-30 each. I’d still like to at least get some Cylons and the Viper, but I may have to save up for them now. And if I’m getting those, might as well get Starbuck and Apollo…

$25-30/figure! Wow! That Viper’s going to be expensive then.

Yeah, I was stoked for the Viper until the price starting to become apparent. Too much for something I don't already collect.

As an example of another line I wanted to get into until the price was Loyal Subject's MASK stuff. Coincidentally I'm hearing bad things about quality control, so I maybe dodged the bullet there.

I still have some of the vintage stuff and was interested, but yeah, I didn't want to start something new again.

That last thing I saw about the viper was that it would have light and sounds an even a remote that controlled those features. Which honestly, sounds like it will be expensive.

One of those guys could fill in for the dude in Robocop that gets drenched in toxic waste.

In other news, I saw Ramen Toys had a computer mock-up and prototype 6" Diana from V... They look pretty cool but judging from the price of their other 6" figures, I'll likely pass on them but would be very tempted to get the Visitor foot soldier.

And got these ones now too

Those look pretty cool - the mohawk figure is my fav. I don't collect horror stuff, but my brother and a friend of mine does, so I'll have to mention these. The blind boxes are brutal though; they turn a lot of people off, but some like the thrill, I guess. Is it a big line to collect, with variants, chases, etc.?

Yeah it's a gamble. I think there's actually just 3 characters, with variant paint schemes in these blind boxes.

Super 7 also sells them carded but are more expensive that way.

Here's a group pic... I think I'll repaint my other Tar Man... maybe

Had a pleasant surprise tonight at Walmart - not only has my local store done a toy aisle reset, but Star Wars is the first brand leading into the aisle now. They have plenty of pegs spots for product, and even had some new things stocked. I was quite surprised.

I thought this fit well into the "what are you collecting in 2026 theme" because this year in addition to TVC, I'm still collecting some Micro Galaxy, and plan on buying some Masters of the Universe toys as well this year. The Micro Rogue One set and Skeletor came home with me tonight... Skeletor was only $9.97... at that price and quality, I will probably purchase every $10 figure in the MOTU line in 2026. I snapped pics of several things in the toy aisle reset that caught my eye.
