The droid pirate SM-33 was First Mate of the Onyx Cinder when it ventured to At Attin, one of the nine Jewels of the Old Republic.

The base STL is five points using basic swivels (head, shoulders, hips), but given the design, were one so inclined it would not be particularly difficult to add elbows and knees, plus switch out the head and shoulder swivels to balls to increase the range of motion. I would imagine that the only difference then to what Hasbro would give us would be ankles and wrists, which are a little too small to be printing in PLA plastic at home at the moment.

I have grown less happy with my first version of this particular character (back on page 59) over time, so I figured - pardon the pun - that I should revisit with access to more reference material and an improved base body.

When Boba Fett, the Daimyo of Mos Espa, came to investigate a reported theft from a water monger, the youthful brashness of the Mods street gang led by Drash impressed him enough to offer them work.

I wasn't happy with the stability of the ball jointed hips in robot mode, so I redesigned them to be more in keeping with G1 Hot Rod's style of static upper legs, with a rotating waist joint to keep the same transformation as before.

This improves the character in both modes.
