http://www.yodasnews.com/ has a hint that the rumour about the return of deluxe sets is true!

YN: The Stocking Stuffer Galactic Heroes sets look fantastic! Any thoughts to bringing back the Holiday Edition figures for the 3 3/4 inch line? And Can we expect to see some Deluxe figures soon from the Clone Wars line? This seems like the perfect line to bring them back!

H: We will not be bringing back the 3-3/4" Holiday figures any time soon. We are evaluating a new Deluxe-type line for Fall 2009 for Clone Wars.
Details should be available at Toy Fair.

A rumour list a few months back contained these deluxe figures listed:

Clone Advanced Speeders
Dooku's Swoop
STAP with Battle Droid
Vulture Droids

Sounds interesting... I'm more interested in the actual pieces that would come with the figures over the figures themselves...

i like collecting stuff that can look like background material, all of those are too obviously clone wars stuff except Dooku's swoop, im looking forward to grabbing that

I love how one of these in the book by Karen Traviss attempted to get it's groove on with a Republic Gunship because it thought that it was another of it's kind based upon the sounds of it's engines.. :lol:

As for this monster.. I'd only buy it for a laugh or two.. funny pictures could be made with the bit above.

I think what people are missing here is this means the return of Deluxe figures, i wonder what else will be coming?

Also obviously this is from a future episode!

Future episode..? I thought this was from the movie? :? However, I am open tot he idea of Deluxe figures! Woot! Cheers to that, Mate! I'd be happy to see some unique mounts.. from recent episodes.. those might be cool. Like.. for example.. Commander Keller using those giant mounts..(the white ones with the giant horns..? their name escapes my memory). Anywho.. something like that! :twisted: :)

Nice idea, not bothered about the one being showcased here, however if they are going to go back to deluxe, I wonder if it will just be for the Clone Wars or if it will carry on throught the Basic Line.

Either way theres a few I would like to see.

According to Jedinews.co.uk the new Deluxe figures look great and some of the other stuff coming is going to be great, but like last year their not aloud to take pictures of the Hasbro booth at the UK Toy Fair and now their not aloud to report what they've seen, I THOUGHT WAS HASBRO, NOT MI-6!!!

The Can-Cell was pretty good for a cut-scene critter. But, Anakin riding one? No thanks! I'd take another if there was an Aleena rider. I love those little guys!!

Oh! He rode one already. In The Clone Wars feature. I forgot about that.
