Been awhile since I updated my thread here. Done a lot of work on various things and like a lot of people I have a bunch of projects going on in various states of completion. I need to start finishing some of these at some point!
Here we go, another shot of my GI Joe R.O.C.C converted into a Republic Repulsorlift Transport. I largely like how this turned out but I haven't done much with the inside.
The next few pics are of a troop tray for the Vintage Rebel Transport that I am changing into space to transport a two-person recon speeder bike team. I am close to being done on this and will be put it into my New Republic Transport on the first page of this thread. The idea was to have a versitile ship capable of various mission set-ups and this is one of them.
Next is an update on my Mara Jade. I painted her our fit all black. It is boring, I know, but I think she probably has a lot of black in her wardrobe. Not sure if it is noticeable but she has on the belt from the TAC Ceremonial Luke with a lightsaber and a POTF2 Cloud City Lando gun. the gun fits in there perfect and a good fit for her I think.
Next is a new droid army. The guy in the middle is General Vox and beside him are two Cortosis Droids. In my made-up, non-canon little Star Wars universe the Sith are plotting a way to usurp the New Republic using a far more advanced Droid Army to over-run Coruscant. The droids infiltrated the plant, destroying large coolant tanks for the planets many generator, spilling vaporous coolant into the air. Blah-blah-blah......I am a dork.
Here is a close-up of General Vox. Simple repaint of a GI Joe figure named Overkill I believe. Maybe if this guy had been in charge instead of Grievous than the C.I.S may have been successful...or not.
Now a project I am struggling with. I want the Empire to have updated versions of the Republic Commandos and these are more work in progess attempts. What I am struggling with for one is the color scheme. I think I like the gray and black better but I am not sure. I have the fine details to finish on these guys but this is a project on the backburner for now.
A custom ship I have primed. Not sure if I want to make it a Republic fighter like the V-Wing from Rogue Squadron or maybe a fighter for a bounty hunter. The ends of the wings warped just a touch so I will have to address that at some point.
A y-wing repaint I did a few years back. Generally speaking I still like it.
Next couple pics are of my New Republic Commandos. I struggle a lot with the question "Is this Star Wars?". I think that is an issue inherit to the use of GI Joe's for figures. I have little Republic stickers to add to the armor but at this point I am not sure I like the color of the armor. So much of what I do lacks color I thought this would be a good way to use it but I don't know.
Lastly, a New Republic Smiper. Same issues here....would he show up in the Star Wars universe? I have my doubts.
