Picked up Elsa, Vogel and a Grail Knight today for $5.44 each at my local Wal-Mart. This is the first I've seen these in the wild and had about given up in actively searching for them.

Now to customize Vogel to give him is proper Nazi armband instead of the plain black "PC" one they gave him.

All the Targets in my area are almost out of Indy figures now... is this a good sign? Could Hasbro decide to push for the second Raiders wave? Doubtful I suppose, but maybe this means at least that Target will get in some of the TOD figures for the Christmas season.

Really, when I think about it - the deluxe figures seemed to do fine at all retailers. So did the vehicles. Heck, even the playset seems to have been moving somewhat well.

If only they had handled the regular line in a logical manner. :x

Honestly, i only looked at this line as custom fodder. I love the Indy franchise, don't get me wrong, but the toys just didn't do anything for me. With star wars and gijoe, the toys kindle this .... "spark" of childish excitement and creativity. The indy toys only sparked an interest in how i could use their parts for more star wars characters. I am still trying to lay hands on two of those crystal skull accessories without paying 6 bucks a piece for a custom project. So, i patiently wait for the skull Indy and ShortSleeve mutt to go mega clearance. I was excited about the pictures i saw on the net of the bald german engineer from Raiders, but i understand that wave is now a never-will-be thing. Shame, he would have had massive custom potential. I hope his parts find their way into the starwars kitbash fodder bin for Hasbro.

Well, EE charged my card today so my ToD case should be getting here within the next week or two. I can't wait, but I'm also relieved to be done with the line. Anything else I need to pick up I'll try and snag during the inevitable clearances. Too bad I'll have to settle for just one Thugee...

That would require my local Targets to actually restock the shelves, and they can't do that! I'll have to check it out.

EE shipped out my TOD wave on Monday. I hope it gets here before I head back to school for finals, otherwise I have to wait and get it at Christmas break. I WANT IT NOW. :D

I'm thinking of bailing out altogether now. I've been stalking my stores for the TOD wave but now I'm thinking of just selling the first 3 waves save for a couple of favorites. I didn't bail on Hasbro, Hasbro bailed on me!!

That's great...if they had lower prices and some figures!

Anyway, I finally found Henry Jones, my first figure in months.

*squeals*

I finally came home for Christmas break and my TOD case was waiting for me. Haven't cracked any of them open yet but they're beautiful. The only iffy paintjob of the bunch is on Short Round, as some of his bangs are painted oddly but it still beats the tar out of the Wave 1 figures included in the case.

One of the RPG Indy's I was forced to get with the case has his facial hair all over the place. It literally looks like someone went #2 all over his face. Also Mutt Williams looks more like a stoned Vince Vaughn than Shia. On closer inspection it appears they might have forgotten to paint the white part of his eyes!

I'm still trying to figure out what to do with these extras. Some of them will be used for customs but I'll probably end up using that receipt trick to get the last few figures I need to complete the collection.

They were also marked down to $3.80 at a Target I visited today.

Grabbed another RPG Indy for custom fodder. But the figures at that particular Target are just the dregs - mostly Mutt, Idol Indy and RPG Indy and a Sallah or two. Not many basic figs on the shelf at all and from the clearance price, I doubt they will ever be restocking.

A few other stores I've been to have some slightly more desirable figs like Germans and Russians. Maybe I'll buy 'em and then return cheapo Target figures to save a buck. Heh heh.

So sad to see the line dying its slow, agonizing death.

my local target still has a ton of indy product. after the holiday when they reset the shelfs i'm looking forward to some $1 pickups hopefully :)

Yeah, if i could score SnakeMutt and a couple of CrystalSkull Indys at a buck a'piece i would be ultra happy. I mean, even clearanced to 3.80 each i can't bring myself to buy those figures since i know ill just rip them apart for custom fodder and those sweet sweet crystal skulls (i need like a half a dozen of them, but i could settle on 2).

Found some clearance Indy figs today. I picked up t-shirt Mutt, a Cemetery Warrior and another Russian for $3.80 each, then turned back around and returned the two spare Raiders Indys and the crappy painted RPG Indy from my TOD case. Whoever thought of that idea is a freaking GENIUS.

I'm slowly opening the TOD figs, I'll take pics soon. Indy and Mola Ram are AWESOME.
