Ever since I got the barge, I had an idea to do very tiny vignettes set inside it. Well, I finally did so the other day thanks, in part, to a conversation at RS.
So, here is the first large size mini-story. Others might be as short as one panel!
Saelt-Marae: Greetings, Mrs. Lars. A pleasure to have you with us again. Unfortunately, his excellency has summoned you here to discuss a matter of great urgency.
Saelt-Marae: Although the terms were most generous, your husband has now defaulted on your loan twice. And now the magnificent Jabba, in his wisdom, will have no choice but to take possession your farm and all of its contents.
Beru: Please, I beg of you. We had one bad harvest.
Beru: My husband doesn't know where the money came from. We're raising a child now. We just need a little more time.
Saelt-Marae: His excellency congratulates you on the glorious expansion of your family. In his magnanimity, Jabba is prepared to offer you a most generous compromise.
Saelt-Marae: You have served our organization capably in the past. You are in possession of a rather unique skill set which could benefit our organization once again.
Saelt-Marae: Complete three simple "tasks" and your debts will be consider paid in full.
Beru: No...no. I’ve turned my back on that life. My husband doesn’t know anything about my past.
Beru: I can't go back. I just can't. Isn't there some other way?
Saelt-Marae: His excellency has always believed that open and honest communication was the cornerstone to any healthy relationship.
Saelt-Marae: However, if you remain inflexible, I’m afraid we will need you and your family to vacate the farm within twenty-four hours.
Beru: (sighs, deep breath) Fine...fine. I'll do it. I'll do it, damn you.
Beru: Now. Who are the targets?
