I recently got a new camera and finished up a group of new customs. After photographing them, I figured I should go back and shoot some of my recent (and some not so recent) customs as my old pics were pretty awful comparitively. High time I started a thread here and quit lurking...

First up, the new ones:

010.jpg

This is my Utai traveller. Used the Clegg Holdfast body and the Legacy Utai limbs.
012-1.jpg

This is a lazy custom. Head is from the TPM Naboo Guard. Honestly, I planned to do some paint work to this one, but after I had him put together, I sort of just fell in love with him as is. He wil most likely play a role in my forthcoming photonovel if it ever gets off the ground.
014-1.jpg

Probably my favorite of this current batch, but I love sullustans. Another traveller from somewhere mid-rim. The cowl is the alternate hood from TVC Wicket. Does look a little strange from the side as the earholes are too large, but I like how it looks from the front.
019-1.jpg

My Abyssin mechanic. Wanted to make his pants worn like he had been crawling around under speeders. Will probably take a heavier weathering pass on his shirt especially before he makes an appearance in my photonovel.
020-1.jpg

Here's one I stole mostly from Chewie. (Never would have purchased that Spider-man Lizard figure if I hadn't seen him use it as a Barabel. Now I'm considering buying a couple more...) The main body is the Indy grail knight with the scarf from the Sandstorm wave.
023.jpg

This is supposed to be a hastily repainted protocol droid. Tried to slather the paint on kind of heavily to make it look like its new owner was not the best painter in the galaxy.

Older customs in the next post...

And on with some recent favorites of mine.

014-2.jpg

This is my Weequay head of security/creature handler. Another pretty simple no paint custom, but I am happy with him. The creature is from the Red Faction toyline. The leash is from G.I. Joe as are the chest straps (zombie viper).
015-1.jpg

A close-up. Torso is from Concept Anakin - figured the heavily gloved right hand would work well with the leash.
018-1.jpg

Another reuse of the zombie viper accessories. Figured this worked well as a random background outer rim spacer. And a great way to disguise the TVC endor rebel head without it being obvious which head was used. (I ended up with a ton of endor rebel heads at the time of the 4.00 Wal-mart clearance)
020-2.jpg

Another thug working as security for the same Hutt as the weequay creature handler.
024.jpg

A Nautolan cantina patron. I'm currently reworking the paint on his outfit as it came out really shiny.
026.jpg

Another of the Hutt's security entourage (with a female bounty hunter in the background).
027.jpg

Better shot of the bounty hunter. Entirely modern joe parts. Head is from the night creeper, body from one of the first movie figures - I believe it was Scarlett.

More older figures in next post...

And on with more of my "greatest hits..."

029.jpg

My intention here was Chiss initially, but I went more Pantoran in the end. I need to do more paint work on the body I suppose - just noticed that the Joe movie logo was still on the Helix body base.
033.jpg

Just another traveler - always looking to crank out a few human backgrounders as I tend to work more on aliens...
036.jpg

Now this one is really really old, but is still one of my favorite customs I've ever done. Wanted another Duros for the background of one of my Tattooine scenes and this one came together.
040.jpg

One of the first figures I painted after switching to Tamiya acrylics. I think the paint on the armor is a little heavy, but am still happy with him.
041.jpg

Another Sullustan. I just love these guys.

A couple more pics in the following post...

Alright, a couple of bonus shots...

Here's another new one I hadn't taken pictures of with the others as the dullcote was still drying. I wanted to have a background neimoidian that wasn't in robes like all the ones we saw in the films. Tried to make him look tall and lanky. Not sure how I feel about him yet...
006-1.jpg

004.jpg

And a work in progress... A gonk droid that I am trying some weathering processes out on (you can still see salt residue on it) Not sure how I feel about the color. Need to darken it up, I think.

008.jpg

Well, let me know what you think. Thanks for looking!

So glad you are sharing your work here - these are some very professional looking customs and I'm extremely blown away by your talents. You've got some very unique but fitting customs for the Star Wars universe here.

The green Death Star droid just rocks - I love the paint scheme here, and would love to try and duplicate this.

And the Sullustan with the Wicket hat is perfect! I love this species too and am amazed at how cool this figure looks.

You've made a great use out of those zombie viper accessories too - I'll need to keep that in mind because I have a zombie viper for parts that I'm wanting to use.

Another highlight for me is the Neimoidian - always a fan of that species.

Very good work on all of these and thank you for sharing them with us on this side of the pond. :)

I love that green protocol Droid. Metallic green makes him look so insectoid-like. That's a great looking color choice but it also looks like you added some weathering. Very cool looking figure.

Very cool stuff. What is that purple background? I love it. You do awesome shading(?) the layers. The greens and purples are superb.

Thanks again, everyone.

The background for the first set of photos is a custom ship made for me by the amazing Hangarbay. I purchased the large Wall-e truck and commissioned him to paint and detail it for me into a ship for a photonove series I hope to get to eventually. After the holiday weekend, I will try to post some shots of it. It is a very cool piece.

Your experimentation with different looks for figures and mix-matching accessories looks great. There are some nice paint touches as well (like the painted scruff on the pant knees on one.

Your work looks great; congrats on the front page!
