I mentioned in another thread that I was figuring out how to display my Inquisitors. This is far from the final version. I very quickly made up a wall of the Inquisitorius Board Room, printed it out, threw a piece of felt in there, and added some sabers for a quick picture. The design in the middle is just a random series of shapes I modelled in.

I'm going to work more on this one, but I think the final version will be smaller to fit in a shadowbox I have.

Thanks! I ended up doing almost nothing with it over the weekend. I glued the two halves together. I'm going to sand, fill, and paint. In theory I'll start working on dimensions and design for the final version.

I'm thinking strongly of getting a resin printer, which would allow me to do smaller, more detailed prints. I'll design and print up some custom saber hilts. I've got a lot of money going out right now with an old car I'm trying to get back on the road, so I'm trying to hold off on extra expenses. Even if I don't get the printer, I'll probably model the sabers and post a picture of the intended designs.

Definitely! I’d love to see them either way!

What kind of car are you working on?

I've been super lazy and haven't done a lot. I bought a string of LED lights to eventually light the final version of this. I've modeled some of the final version. I still need to model in paths and openings for lights. I've done the most work on designing the sabers, but then I've decided I'm unhappy with every single one and started over.

Sorry, I was going to update when I had something to show on the diorama, but I didn't want to leave you hanging. It's a 2003 Acura RSX. I hit a financial rough patch a few years ago and lack of maintenance killed it dead. I've always had some combination of time, money and space to work on it, but never all three at the same time. Right now I have the money and time but no space to work on it, and I finally decided to just hand it to a shop. There are a couple of Honda guys there who were pretty psyched to work on it. Last I heard, which was Friday morning, they think they're pretty close to cranking it up. Hopefully I'll only need to replace the tires, get insurance and a tag on it and be ready to go.
