I don't even collect TBS (only have one figure), but after seeing the Mother Talzin sculpt, I'm breaking my 3.75 loyalist rule and went ahead and preordered her on Amazon - apparently, she's now being released on the 29th of this month!
just be sure to save money for that large action figure coming next April.I will likely buy Rook Kast for the same reason!
Never had your specific experience but Black Series does sell out on some of the more sought after figures and you're stuck with scalpers. The Eleventh Brother hasn't been available for less than $45 for awhile. Marrok has been going back and forth between being available for retail price and scalper price for a few weeks. One thing that Amazon has been doing that ticks me off is them constantly fluctuating between $27.99 and $29.99 (Gamestop price). For those that pre-order TBS on Amazon, I noticed that today was listed as the release date for Mother Talzin, but instead of switching to an in-stock availability, the purchase option was removed and it's only for sale from a scalper for $55 now. Since I haven't pre-ordered a TBS figure before, is this pretty normal? I know listings can occasionally be changed like this temporarily for TVC figures before they are available for purchase again, but TBS doesn't usually "sell out" in this fashion, right?
I ordered her and Marrok through Gamestop since I had a $50 gift card plus $5 off coupon and they are listed as releasing 10/12.She was $27.97 when I preordered, so that extra savings may have resulted in a sellout, lol. She's now listed on my order page as "order received", no delivery estimate, etc. I'm hoping that they're just processing, and it wasn't some kind of error, because I believe that this wave was originally slated for November, but arrived early according to a report from Jayson, if I'm remembering correctly.
