Hit one local TRU Saturday morning when the opened, and talked to another collector I know as he was also trying to score the new vintage stuff there too.
They didn't have anything out, so we spoke with customer service who said they had 60 figures in the stockroom but they wouldn't sell them. Then they said they couldn't sell them because of the street date. We told them that TRU didn't have to abide by the street date as an email went out from corporate stating they could sell them... they didn't believe us at first but then they did say that the email had gone out - so then they say they DON'T have the figures and won't until Tuesday (something to do with a mistake on their truck). Who knows. So we left.
I went out of town after that after that for family plans, and swung by the TRU there. They didn't have anything out so I asked - they were very nice, checked the email and a manager was very apologetic for not having them out yet - I told him no problem, and he insisted on seeing what they did have in the back which was a case of the vehicles and some Clone Wars and Legends. I just picked up a Cloud Car and Snowspeeder with the BOGO sale.
Then back in St. Louis last night, I hit a third TRU and bought the following around 7:30 PM -
- AT-AT Commander x 3
- Leia x 1
- Han x 1
- C-3PO x 1
- Dengar x 1
- Dak x 1
Left a ton of Vaders, a couple 3POs, a couple 4-LOMS and a Han.
