I received my new Luke today from Amazon. Overall, I am impressed with the figure. It is interesting comparing it to the previous Farmboy Luke & DS Luke figures and seeing how badly proportioned the previous figure(s) was. With how clean this figure is, I am thinking that Hasbro was looking at more of a Kenner equivalent rather than a movie-accurate deco. I'll dirty up the boots and maybe the pants a little.

The only thing that hasn't quite set with me yet is the face & hair. I don't think the hair piece is detailed enough, and to me, it looks like it needs to slide down forward a bit. Also, I am not sure how I feel about those eyes. Maybe I am just too use to the old style deco, but this digital stuff looks almost AI to me. So, I am contemplating swapping the head out with the older Farmboy Luke head sculpt.

If I get it, I was going to see what the former TVC Luke heads looked like on it, like Stormtrooper Luke, etc.

I really like the new Luke. Pretty sure the lack of weathering is Hasbro cutting back on paint apps as a cost saving measure...?

I did touch up the leg wraps on a couple of mine... I went a little darker on the one on the right

I was wondering that myself, perhaps they realize that they can't increase the price any further without seeing a decline in purchases at full MSRP?

A dark wash is also super easy to do on the buyers end, so it’s no big deal.

I bought a squad of heavy Stormtroopers for the garrison. I saw them for a excellent price and nabbed them.

Yeah, I think that they are trying to keep the price at the current MSRP as long as they can. I'm ok with that, and think this Luke figure is a good example of a figure being worth the price tag.

It's a separate hair piece, and the height is about perfect. I've opened 4 of the figure so far, and think it's easily the best Luke ever made in my view.

I did paint the shins on a couple of them, different shades... here's on that I did a darker tan look for. The other one has a lighter tone but I don't have pics yet.

Comparing my Luke with this picture, I'm sure there are going to be variations of how the hair piece sits on the head sculpt. The hair in this pic looks great. My Luke's hair piece sits further back where the bangs aren't touching the left eyebrow, which makes the part too high up on the forehead.

I'm going to try to remove the hair piece and reposition it. Otherwise, I'm going to swap out the head with the sculpt from the DS Escape Luke.

Picked up Ezra today - spotted him for $12 (which was a nice bonus), in the ongoing process of catching up on completing my Ahsoka series collection. While it's cool to see the Rebels crew in realistic live action form, I still love (and maybe prefer) the animated figures. This Ezra doesn't match the cartoon nor the Ahsoka appearance, so it feels like a concept figure of sorts, fun addition, nevertheless.

I got my first of four TVC Dedras from GameStop. They shipped all four separate from one another. Something seems off…
