I was thinking about some of the finds at Ross, and how I can never find that kind of stuff. Occasionally I feel like I'm doing something vastly different than everyone else. I found the YouTube channel of a guy who does toy hunts in Georgia. I'm assuming his stores must be part of the same Ross restocking as my stores here in NW Florida, because his videos all have the same junk I find.

You aren't alone, unfortunately the majority of us probably won't find much at Ross, considering how many collectors have turned into scalpers / resellers over the years - times must be tough if they're that broke that they need to turn to that for income. When people report sightings of certain items, they immediately show up on ebay, marketplace, etc. in higher numbers. Some collectors simply hoard stuff as well, for whatever purpose, and a store can be easily cleaned out by one person. Sometimes local collectors will buy extras to help each other before the resellers get them, but I don't have anything like that around here.

When time permits, I move my work schedule around to try and hit my Ross when they open. I was able to do that quite a bit earlier this year, but not so much lately. Even then, it was usually just one figure here or there... a Cassian, or an HK droid... a random Skiff Guard... all things I'd bought at full price, I pretty much use the Ross finds for customs. I'd say that I ended up with a purchase from there maybe 10% of the time, so for me at least, it's all about persistence. If I were to cut my Ross runs in half, I might never find anything I'm interested in. I also post what's there on a local Facebook page for nearby collectors.

If you frequent the stores enough and are friendly to the employees, I've found it can be helpful too... they even have told me when to expect shipments, and they know what I collect... two weeks ago in fact, I walked in and a lady working there had saved a Sabine Black Series lightsaber! I could not believe it. I bought it, and giving at cost to a local buddy (Dennis) as he's been stalking a different Ross store for it. And now I'm on the lookout for a second one, so he and his son can have a duel (seriously).

Received Sabine & Howler as well as Kanan from Amazon, as I'm now working on completing my Rebels crew in TVC. Just need Hera, but I've never spotted her at retail when she was released, nor have I seen her on Amazon. I was lucky enough to get both items at a discount from Amazon - not as good as a Ross dumpster deal, but better than MSRP, lol.

I had about $4k worth of dental work done today, so in my weakened state, went to several Ross stores down towards Chewie’s house.

Two stores had a few figures, one store had many figures that I picked up (Baylon, Mae, etc.) and the last store had a homeless population that accosted me inside the store and in the parking lot.

Still need get to get Indara and the broccoli haired Jedi…I haven’t seen those yet.

Went to the other two Ross stores today, this time near my work. Got a few more Sol figures, another Ahsoka, and two more Mae.

I found Ezra Bridger (Hero of Lothal? I don't remember which version) and Grand Admiral Thrawn at Ross. I immediately grabbed the Thrawn. I passed up Ezra the first time and only grudgingly picked him up. Thrawn was $4.99. Ezra was $9.99? $10.99? I don't recall, but that price at Ross gave me pause. I eventually decided I liked the figure well enough and it wasn't a terrible price in a vacuum.

Didn't see a price but Walmart has the Black Series Clone Commando Urban Fighter and Training Battle Droid 2 Pack. As you can tell from the pic, none of the Star Wars is moving and my area is pretty collector heavy so that's not a good sign.

I assume Ross will be stocked next year with all this stuff…Probably the most TVC stuff I’ve seen for a while, but just an odd time with no movie or series being released.
