Grabbed a Boba Fett the other day, $6.99 at Ross. Only reason I wanted it was for the cloak. 20241121_121010.jpg

And unreleased figures!!! Exactly what Retro should have been!

Glad to see the Ahsoka wave is hitting Ross, too bad the character selection seems more limited though. All of the Fett wave has been reportedly found, but only half of the Ahsoka wave in comparison, thus far. I only picked up the HK Assassin droid, as I already have Morgan, and I'm not paying $7, just for Ahsoka's new cloak.

Picked up Hera at a collectible shop - it was nice to find something "in the wild" outside of those discount stores. Her and Marrok seem to be the harder figures to find, never spotted either of them at Target when the wave was shipping to retail.

I completely forgot about that entire wave!!! I don’t think I bought any of them now that I looked up pics. :(

Shame, it's such a nice wave - you can still find most of them at or below MSRP. Only Hera and Chopper are higher atm.

Ordered Marrok, and it arrived, and in surprisingly good condition, which can be hit-or-miss with those third-party Amazon sellers. Glad to finally have the wave wrapped up!

I looked Chopper up because that’s the one I would for sure want, and he was definitely higher than MSRP!

If you want him, you could probably still manage to get him for the original price of $12, but it would probably have to be Gamestop or an online company that still has stock. Amazon and Target (Pulse too I think) sold out - I checked, and you can get him for $16 shipped from a third-party seller on Amazon. He's great, I would not want to miss out on a new Kenner style droid!

Anyone still finding Retro at Ross? Spotted a couple Sabine figures as well as a Kuiil a while back, but left them behind, as I already have both. Not sure how a Kuiil got there, unless it was a return, but someone apparently bought it, lol.
I saw a retro Reva a few weeks ago. Seems Ollies is getting flooded with them though based on what I've heard...

I was at my Ollie’s tonight for some other stuff and can attest to that. Brittany and I were talking about where all the Marvel and SW crap will go when the close out place can’t get rid of them.

Saw a lone Sabine Retro figure at Ross today. I couldn't force myself to by it. I'm totally done with Retro outside of OT figures... especially when last year, I had to drop prices on my extras that were carded to $1 each before they'd sell. The interest in these seems to have really cooled off.

The interest in new media & PT Retro certainly seems to have slowly declined since the initial Mando wave that did very well. Many of the figures, like Sabine, look good, it's just that some question why we need those media sources in the Kenner design aesthetic. Hasbro clearly questioned that as well, likely based on sales data, hence this reboot of Retro to OT-only characters. I'd prefer it as a continuation of the Kenner run anyway, covering unmade characters from the 80s.

Luckily, the ANH #3 set at Target seems to be doing really well, initially selling out online and at stores. Now it seems that they're heavily restocking some areas, while leaving others dry. I still haven't seen one locally, so had to buy it on the website. Awesome set though.

Yeah, OT related stuff really seems to be they way to make this niche line have success. Then maybe a few surprises here or there perhaps in limited runs for non-OT material.

I think they really overproduced the Kenobi series wave in particular, which burned retailers who ordered it in abundance. Hence fewer orders and the realignment to just OT stuff.

After the apparent success that the ANH #3 set had at Target, It's great to see the CZ droid announcement - that's a complimentary choice to be released with Garindan - glad it's "clean" as well, compared to the previous Hasbro release of the droid. Nice that they actually surprised fans with this one, considering no one guessed that they'd include this character in the line. Definitely feels like a deeper cut than I would expect from Retro though.
