What, no chatter in here about any of the three planned live-action series, especially "The Mandalorian", which will be here before you know it?

I know most of this stuff is discussed on the homepage, via disqus, but let's try to liven up the forums a bit!

The Mando trailer was pretty spiffy. I won't quite say amazing, but it definitely pushes all those "gritty SW underworld" buttons and I have a lot of confidence in Jon Favreau.

Here's hoping this is a great show (that gives us a lot of great figures!)

This and the Cassian Andor shows are the only thing I’m looking forward too. The Mandalorian seems to be similar to a photonovel or something, so I think they’ll do a good job with that.

I'm less enthused about the Cassian show. I really liked "Rogue One", but something about this one just kind of bores me a little.

Who knows? I'd certainly be open to it, but because of what happened in Rebels and Rogue One, it really feels like the rebellion doesn't actually, you know, do anything in the pre-Rogue One days.

If they lean into the "spy" aspect of Cassian's career, that could be cool. Feels like "The Mandalorian" will more than handle the rugged frontier aspect of SW, so I hope it has a different vibe and aesthetic.

I'm also looking forward to the Cassian series, by the time of Rogue One, it's clear that Cassian has been fighting the Empire for a while now.

We might see him be part of the Ghost's crew for a special mission or two - that could be fun. Maybe they'll actually make the ship in 3.75" scale then.

I think we'll see K-2SO being programmed to be loyal to Cassian, etc. Perhaps Cassian has a love interest as well that he loses, etc. But for sure, we'll see lots of classic OT aliens, some new specialized Stormtroopers, etc.

I'm pretty excited about both shows. I hope they are shorter seasons without filler. Any chance for new aliens droids and ships is OK by me. Who knows, they might become popular enough to undo the ill will the ST brought on.
I doubt they will become GOT popular (no R rating) but they might become the next Westworld.

I'm looking forward to both shows. The Mandalorian has that gritty vibe to it that should make it very entertaining. As far as the Cassian show, I'm hoping we see a lot of K-2SO. To me K-2SO and his deadpan humor was a big part of the overall entertainment value of the Rogue One.

As far as figures go for both shows, I hope the $100 ship from the Mandalorian is his ship and that they release a Kuiil figure.
From the Cassian show I would hope they give us a SA K-2SO.

I approve of these terrific suggestions!

My wish list includes a Moff Gustavo Fring (Gideon) and, of course a Werner figure. Bring 'em!

So as many fans have heard, Boba Fett is going to show up in Season 2. Many speculated it was Boba that was standing over Fennec Shand at the end of Chapter 5.
Any thoughts on how they will explain his return? I read one article on CinemaBlend that said he would probably only be in flashbacks. If that was him in Chapter 5, that dispels that theory.

Will Disney use the EU story of how he escaped the Sarlacc pit?

Is he a clone of Boba?

Was it an imposter that fell in the pit? Could it have been his most infamous imposter Jodo Kast? If so, this would give them an opportunity to release Jodo Kast in the Black Series making Jodo happy

It will be interesting to see how that plays out in regards to how he survived. I'm also interested in seeing how the writers navigate around the various minefields regarding his mystic/persona. He was supposed to be a badass bounty hunter from various released media at the time. Will the writers depict that? If so, will Boba and Din be on the same team, so to speak (besides being Mandalorian)? Or will they be fighting each other throughout the series (or an episode)? I kind of "worry" about this and kind of wish that Boba was kept out of The Mandalorian just to make it Din's story. Anyone have thoughts?

Now, I am curious to see who Timothy Olyphant plays and I hope it's a cool role.
And Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka... has she been confirmed?
I guess Michael Biehn is also cast as a bounty hunter? I hadn't hear about this (saw it on wiki so...)
Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan! That'll be a welcomed addition (however large her role will be... and most likely about getting the Dark Sabre back and how she lost it). Strange that Katee gets casted for the live role of her voice character, but Ashley Eckstein got passed over.

Well, alright! That's more like it!

As someone who found the first season of "The Mandalorian" pretty darn underwhelming (only two actually good episodes, several "okay" episodes and at least two truly bad episodes), I am very happy to report the season is off to a good start.

While I complained about the short running time of the first season episodes, this episode, which is easily the show's longest, does actually go on a little too long. The second half is a big draggy.

But there's a lot of good stuff here and some interesting world-building. I really like the concept of the small "lost" outpost on Tatooine and, come on, Raylen Givens wearing Boba Fett's armor?? What's not to love about that?

While I am generally not interested in spending more time on Tatooine, this managed to put a new spin on things while also putting in some fun easter eggs that didn't feel shameless. And nice to see a return of Amy Sedaris' character.

As someone who (blasphemy!) isn't a huge fan of Baby Yoda, I was fine with him being a spectator throughout the episode.

At times, the episode evoked the "Villagers against an AT ST" episode from last year (and all of the tropes that episode itself was based on.) So let's not to any more "plucky peasants have to come together against an existential threat" for a while (if not ever!)

I definitely think the Mando needed to suffer a LOT more damage than he did at the very end, but oh well.

Not sure I buy the season's quest of "finding Mandalorians will help me find Baby Yoda's people!" but, again, oh well. The season needs some kind of spine, so fine.

Well, despite some small nitpicks, it was generally very entertaining, if a little pokey in spots.

More like this!

I enjoyed this episode as well. Many of the episodes really remind me of when I was a kid and some of the potential adventures the toys could have gone on. It makes me wish I was a kid again, so I could play some of these adventures out (and more).

Go ahead and play with them. We won't judge or tell

Seriously though, this was a really good episode. I think it's funny that the EU had so much fantastic material and Disney got rid of it yet all of it is slowly creeping back in.

When the Barge showed up, it was all I could do but not play with it.

The Razor Crest will really make me want shoot a photonovel and make more customs...

Why don't you just get back to working on the damn photonovel you already started???? Then you can make a new one when the Crest arrives. That gives you a year to finish Era of Darkness! Get on it!

If I had some spare time I actually would! :(

You know, I bought a bunch of supplies and some additional figures for an Indy PN as well, but that most likely will never come to fruition.

Heck, I'm nervous that future installments of Era of Darkness will not come to fruition. :( I will complete my last class during Summer of 2021, so perhaps after that I will have sufficient time in the evenings to just push through and do it. God willing, I could even do one or two chapters this December, but something always occurs to interrupt me...I have stopped hoping to have that spare time because of that.

The hiatus has given me a few new items to integrate into the PN though. That ITT and Rogue One tank come to mind!

I am a BIG fan of this episode. Again, it was as if something from my childhood was put on screen. I hope we get figures of all involved, eventually.

Man, what a fantastic episode. It had everything a good episode should. It had great action, humor, characters. and locations. I like that we got familiar aliens with the Quarren and Mon Calamari. I like the new faces in the Imperials.
What are people's thoughts on the current controversy of the Child's choice of snack in Episode 10? I've seen a lot backlash on it.
