I put together a figure last night, now need to paint it! Another experiment with soft goods... So hopefully I'll get it done in time for this month -- - though it's certainly not as creative as some of the designs that ya'll have already come up with!! Hopefully I'll get back on track with something good for next month.

Justin, good work (as always) on your two entries. It seems like every month you lead off with a good, solid figure that kind of sets the tone for each month's yakfinities, and
Macuunsa is no different.
The parts you used look extremely well blended, with the GM legs/shins and the McQ snowtrooper torso. Those particular pieces of armor have a larger, heavier feel to them, and fit in so nicely with a Trandoshan. The paint job however, is what really makes this figure great. The colors just seem to be right for this guy. The yellow and blue is easily a prequelish look, it could just as easily be seen in Jabba's palace. Although he's meant to be a cross breed, I think he'd look great as a background character, almost like a slight -tougher- variation in the Trandoshan species.
Glaucomis - This guy is definitely one of those creeps you'd prolly try to avoid. He's big, ugly, and you don't want to get caught staring him in the eye. The paint job looks good with the neutrals, but I'm glad you added the brighter colors to the bandoleer/harness. In short, this guiy is what I like to refer to as a "freak mongrel!"

Your Beed Raider is hilarious! Something about the expression - -- if that can be said about the Tusken -- - is so funny. Almost like in some twisted star wars way, this guy just happened to be walking by a "combinator punishment ray" when the pod-racer announcer suddenly pops up, to be combined with dire consequences. Certainly makes you feel sorry for the guy. LOL

Phaun Sa'Ter, sir, is incredible work. While it certainly has a creepiness, which, in truth the whole cross -breeds theme entails, this one is just such a nice piece of work. Like Chewie mentioned it has a Greek mythology look, sort of a Faun meet Gladiator and welcome to the Star Wars universe. I would have never dreamed of even trying to combine the Kybuck legs with a humanoid figure, but it really works out in this case. Great job painting on this one... the armor looks so good with the muted greens and blues. I don't know if you intended it or not, but the green almost look like copper when it's gotten a patina over time from exposure to the elements. How big is this guy compared to normal humans? I'd love to see a side-by-side pic!

Allen - I really like the job you've done with the Minotaur twins... I was wondering what you were going to come up with, and I must say excellent job! I enjoy seeing Jedi that look like they could rely on more than just a lightsaber in a fight if it came down to it. What did you use as a base for these figures? Did you sculpt the sleeves on each one?
Great work with the softgoods and accessories for these guys, gives them an earthy toughness... They don't need no stinkin' Jedi tunics!!

Again, good job!

I love your Acklay-Man! Nice job to find what seems like a flub in customizing and making into a funny, yet effective custom. Good paint job on this guy - -- the face has a lot of expression, almost "Are you kidding? My mother was an Acklay?!!" You know, this guy almost screams to be let loose in the old cantina, kind of kitschy-looking like so many of the early OT aliens. Good job!! 8)
