Thanks Profesor! I coudl lie and say that it took tons of time and effort, but with the help of a large family of migrant workers I was able to acheive the final product....But I won't. I had that figure of Ash splitting lying around for a long time now, I've always wanted to do a SW theme custom with it, some of the ideas I kicked around were:

-Luke and Han
-Chewie and Han
-Luke and Leia
-Crispy Ani and ROTS Obi-Wan
-And finally 2 Ewoks

But the scene from ROTS with Obi telling Ani "This time we'll take him together" I thought would be perfect for this. Also, sorry about the pics, I'm still working on different techniques to get the professional quality you other guys throw out for your stuff. :D

Duke--ha-ha-ha!!!! An action figure pun! Seriously, I wonder if that's the first time it's been achieved! No matter, absolutely hilarious.
Can't help but wonder what Padme might have thought about it...

The Flywalker

Vincent Price would have made one hell of a Jedi!

Head: Kashyyk "dragonfly"
Torso and legs: Dagobah Luke
Arms: Rappatunie
"Skirt" and cloak: Luke Jedi
Belt and saber: VOTC Luke

Thanks, guys! I've been wanting to use that Can-Cel head for a while now. It's one of my favorite customs I've done. Fun to put the parts together!

Wow, talk about some awesome entries guys... these are making me laugh! I thought I liked my entry until I saw what you guys came up with!

Duke19 - Such a cool idea using the 2-headed Ash for an Anakin/Obi Wan custom. Ha ha, how funny!

Jordan - The Flywalker is hilarious! I love that movie by the way, and what a creative custom. So funny. And well executed too.

Also, Duke's entry from "Army of Darkness" reminded me that I have in a way done a movie crossover in the past with the witch on Dathomir from the Rykrof Enloe series -

Hmmm... activity is seeming to slow down for these past couple contests.

For those that were participating in the first 6-8 months but have started to drop off, what can we do to spike the interest? I can't really afford more than the giveaways I am currently doing, and was considering making them a quarterly thing after the one year anniversary of the forums. Bad idea?

As one of the folks that have participated in the past: I've simply had no time as of late.

I never really did it for the give aways in the fist place. Heck, I still have a work-in-progress Brute that I'd love to put up!

Still, I wouldn't do away with them, and I wouldn't make them more expensive either. I think they're a great incentive as is.

:D I agree with Pendragon

For me it has been about the challenge that wins, I hated sandcralwer droids & also janitors - it just didn't appeal to me - I saw some great entries & some funny ones aswell but I just didn't get it for those months.

Time & personal tastes probably count for most of it but when you have an all rounder such as dark jedi or MOVIE CROSSOVERS  I'm sure it will pick up!

Yakface is such a good site please dont change anything - dont wanna end up like JD - it really sucks overthere at the moment! :?

Yeah ... I think it's fine the way it is... maybe a more regular mention on the front page, like weekly... just to peak more interest... no need to up the antie.

Wow... very cool and a few pretty creepy entries so far! I haven't been able to post as much for the past week or so, but I'll get back by to leave a little more feedback on them so far...

Here's my entry for this month... Simon & Simon (the old 80's Tv show) No, I based these guys off of one of my favorite Private Investigator shows, but for all technicalities, they did have a made-for-TV movie (which was pretty crummy, if I recall correctly), so technically these should still count!

For those of you not familiar with the show, they were two brothers who worked together as PI's, often bumbling and bungling while they go, but still generally solve a case within the hour time-slot.

AJ is on the right, and Rick is on the left.

My last enrtry was my wrecked R4 for the Sandcrawler Droids. Janitors didn't appeal enough to spark an idea, and I'm still working on my brute (that Wookiee Berserker).

I was afraid I couldn't think of anything fun to make for this month, but after being run over by a car, stung by twenty killer bees, hit by lightning and fallen off a cliff, I suddenly had two ideas! At least one of those will see the light of day, that's for sure.

No need to change anything about the YF rounds, Chewie. It's fine as it is. Actually, I'm not in it for the money (or other prizes), I just like the fact the YF helps me shift my boundaries and become a more versatile customizer.
