---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

here's my entry for this month.

=Sungol Vaklin=

A realative newcomer to the mercenary game, Sungol has already made quite a name for his-self as a Bounty Hunter. He is a master of infiltration, a highly skilled marksman and has an uncanny ability to sense and ambush or trap. Sungol has taken out squads of Imperial troopers on his own, beaten Wookies & Whipids in hand to hand combat and there are even rumors that he has killed Jedi. Though resented by many other Bounty Hunters, Sungol's skills keep him feared & respected as well. Most recently Sungol has been seen on planet Gendorn for an unkown job................

(his helmet does come off, but he has made a small backround apperance in my PN and will have a future part in the story, so i didn't want to reveal his face just yet. :) )

jordan: nice idea, I havn't seen many customs with the fugly padme, but this looks good. Id say repaint the legs, it looks almost as if they are just bare, and in the winter, thats got to be cold

Raziel:I cant believe you used a Comic 2 pack Kanos!!! I like it, but the braids kinda threw me off for a moment.

Jedistyle: I love this guy too, The Guillotine helmet is really cool. I wish I could find some of those localy.

I immediately thought of Lord Humungus when I saw Sungol Vaklin. Only this time his kinky leather undies are covered by a more acceptable attire

My entry for this month...

An Ithorian Bounty Hunter ... Harme "Sledge Hammer" Medah ... He wears the wings of a rabid Mynock, that sucked out his right eye, after passing out during the festivities at a raging Asteriod Party he attended. Thus the eye patch. He also wears a respirator to ease his breathing after a run-in with a Mustafarian Lava Miner. He was barely able to collect the bounty on that one.

Upper arms, torso, respirator - 'Elite Operations' military figures
Holster, belt, pistol - Comic Pack Vos
Eye patch, Mynock wings - Tantive IV Battle Pack Vader's Kama
Weapons - 'Elite Operations' military figures

:D Wow - nice work horse head!

I love it when someone uses a lesser species & brings them right up along side the typical ones - for example mandalorians.

He looks way cool & in a light far removed from that of the gentle ithorians we have seen before!

Okay, let me preface this by saying i think the concept of Yakfinites is fantastic. This will be my first Yakfinity challenge, so i have a couple of questions.

One, is the deadline for any given Yakfinity challenge the last day of that specific month?

Two, what are the rules/guidelines for image count/image size when posting your Yakfinity entry?

There really have been some fantastic entries so far this month guys! WOW!

RC 0379 Marev, glad that you like the concept of these little custom projects. They're intended to try and open up customizing to more collectors, and give us all a fun community project with the freedom to be as creative as one wants to be. One of the things that makes Star Wars so appealing to so many fans is how it opens our imaginations, which is exactly why I think customizing has become as popular as it has - allowing for fans to expand on the fun idea of Star Wars.

Nine times out of ten, the deadline is at midnight on the last day of any given month. If there is an extension, it will be mentioned on the main www.yakface.com page - usually that's only done if we have a few requests for it, or there's something going on like a holiday or for instance Celebration IV.

For guidelines for image count or image size, there's really no limit on the count, but the size we like to keep an eye on just so it's easier for those with dialup connections.

One can enter as many customs as they want each month - but each participant's name will only be thrown into a hat one time per month for the prize drawing. Also, the custom must be a new custom to be eligible for the drawing. So if someone showed a custom from last year that they made; we do like to see those and we'll be happy to add it to the submission list, but that custom won't count as being one that qualifies for the random prize entry.

Hi folks,
I wanted to offer this to you guys first, my Yakfinities buddies. I'm parsing down my collection and decided to deep-six the Clone Wars. It's a good collection:
CW1.jpg

Included are 25 action figures, 1 Galactic Hero (Obi-Wan with clone armor), 2 Titanium ships (Anakin's Clone Wars starfighter and the Tiger Shark Gunship, 5 Bust-Ups (Red trooper, Armor Obi-Wan, Yoda, Tattoo Anakin, Snow Bunny Padme), an Entertainment Earth Clones mousepad, 8 Dark Horse Clone Wars animated comic books, and a custom folder including th entire basic set of Topps Clone Wars cards, including 3 promo cards, 4 hologram cards, 1 sketchcard, all 10 sticker cards, as well as a Clone Wars sticker book.
Anyone interested, please let me know. :D

You know, it seems that with each successive month, the entries just keep getting better and better. Great job guys, it's really cool to see everyone going above and beyond for a theme. It's always fun to see the individual creativity that comes through these projects.

Chewie - I think that I replied about your Toracca before, but it doesn't hurt to say it again: this is really a fantastic job in taking 2 figures and making a totally new character. It's nice to see simple parts choice brought together with an excellent paint job. Good job!

Jordan - Mon U'Deda is pretty cool. The silver suit really gives her a good 70's sci-fi look, and as you mentioned, almost like a Bond girl. Nice job on parts and paint choice.

Raziel - Very nice custom with Barbary O'Bannon... the braids really give him a distinctive look. He definitely looks like a rough and tumble guy -- - not one I'd want after me!

Jedistyle - Sungol Vaklin is on of my favorite customs that I've seen from you. The facemask/helmet reminds me of one of the old Tonka figures - Metalhead. This guy's outfit really looks believable as a bounty hunter just out to make a living. Painting on this one is as great as always. I'm glad that this guy is going to have a place in your photonovels.

Sidious - That Twi-lek head is really a nice sculpt... I haven't seen many customs using it, but it works out great for your bounty hunter. Overall nice job on this guy, GREAT parts choices for this one. Are those CC Pilot arms? Thanks for sharing!

Horse Head - Sledge Hammer is just cool. The dude is bad, and you can tell it just by looking at him. The eye-patch is really top-notch, and gives him some credence to having been through a lot to earn his respect. I may have to borrow your idea and make a Thug Ithorian at some point!

So now that I'm caught up with the entries so far, here's my entry into the fray.

"Hotfoot" Torborn
Disgusted with being identified with the whimpering cowardice of his Nemoidian background, Hotfoot entered into the business of being a professional bounty hunter. Unlike many of his Hive brethren who turned out to be selfish politicians, his aggressiveness as a young grub tempered his cool and calculating methods to become a formidable outlaw. Torborn is notorious for his cruel temper as well as his humorous antics set up to humiliate his captured prey. Hotfoot has finally made a name for himself, and feels a certain vindication for his Family Hive's name.

Here's the pics, let me know what you think!

wow, that looks great johnnboy. you don't see nemodians get mcuh play aside from the political role. geat work with this guy. all the mention of his hive etc.. in the backstory really adds to this figure.

all the gear youv'e given him definetley makes him look well equiped. do you have a recipe for this one? some of it look like it may be sculpted.....

great work!

Thanks jedistyle... I was happy that the parts came together so well. I was a little disappointed with the paint -- - I think I rushed it a little.

Here's the recipe without any sculpting! :p

POTC Liz Swann deluxe hat (which by the way is removable, and a perfect fit for this nemoidian head) Might be good for a senator, too?

ROTS Nemoidian guard head, neck post is quite extreme. I had the post from the original figure, but the neck was way too short. I ended up using the upper arm from a GI Joe cover girl figure. Just cut off the torso peg, and it still enables the same motion of a ball jointed neck.

POTF (shadows) Xizor torso

Saga1 Ki-Adi Mundi arms, hands are from nemoidian.

VSTC Biker scout belt and pelvis, with shield additions from some robo-tech kinda guy, and Chap mei holster.

Legs are from the POTF Swoop trooper, with VSTC Tusken feet.

That pretty much covers it, thanks for the kind words, especially on the background story.

My submission for the month, no backstory or name or anything good like that. I just had the Frank Castle head lying around from the Target Clearence of those Marvel figures/game thing and decided it looked good for a bounty hunter head. Comments and Complaints are always welcome!!
