Wow, this YF's well on it's way to become another classic!! Great entries so far and the creativity is coming from all directions.

Johnboy, what figure is that?!?! It's wicked! Is it from the Cryptozoology line of figures?

Horsehead: I love that guy--especially the chops and the goat! And, as someone already said, what a great use for a pegwarmer!

Johnboy: Wow!!!! That dude is really cool! Creative only begins to describe him! Any chance you could give us the recipe for him? And since names are floating about for him, how about Koo-Koo Kee-Chu (I am the walrus!)

Okay, I think that we've got a name... Kee-Chu Maroot....

I'm thinking that perhaps "kee-chu" will be his title for say, "The Great" Maroot...
Thanks so much for the kind words and name help!

I hafta admit, I kinda cheated on this one. He was a pretty quick custom, and had a total of 4 components (not including his pick-up-stick staff)

Head - not real familiar with it, but it came from a McFarlane 4-legged steed thing. I picked it up dirt cheap at a local goodwill initially for some kind of transportation for an Imperial, but then decided that this would work perfectly.

Body - Not much to say about this one, it's a small Sully from McDonalds, repainted with some nice grey and white washes. Yes, I used a larger version for the earlier yakfinities: Brutes. But it's a good, cheap way to get some big guys in the mix.

Tunic - from Graxol Kelvyyn from the E1 Watto's box...

Necklace/shoulder wrap - ROTS Preview Wookiee

Thanks for the feedback!

If you don't mind me stepping in and letting everyone know where the head of this guy comes from, it's a Spawn Dark Ages series 2 figure called Iguantus & Tuskadon. The head is from Tuskadon the pack animal of a lizard type creature.

Great use of out of the norm parts on this guy. There are many larger type figures like this that would make some great fodder that is always over looked in most cases do to the size of the figure. I have a few of these Mcfarlane figures that I'm going to work into customs some day.

I really like this topic and everyone did a great job on their customs.

EDIT - Sorry, I was going to use thumbnails, but could not get them to work on here for some reason... They worked in the customs section for my other custom?!?!? :?: (all I get is thumbnail without link to full pic.)

Hopefully I made it before the deadline...
My entry for the contest:

Xhan the Golden, Gand Crimelord

A crimelord in the outer rim territories, Xhan became known as the "Golden" after
years of abusing his body with Kessel Spice and some other exotic drugs (known
mainly to remote Gand colonies..) began to turn his eyes golden. He began adding
golden accents to his clothing to make his cloths match his eye color.

Xhan discusses business with Ahntek, gand to gand...

Xhan personaly tortures one of his minions for being late with a spice shipment.

Good to know I made it in time!
Thanks for fixing the pics. I still dont know why only those pics refused to thumbnail properly. They way you made it look makes it look even better!
Hopefully there will be a few more last minute entries!
I know I waited till last minute for both this contest and the one over at SithEmpire.

Murray Lee Schlembaum is one of the shiftiest Crime bosses out there.

He is from the planet Coruscant orignally, but now goes where the money is. His only companion is Hunak, his trusted Jawa business advisor. He is a master thief, and even managed to steal a lightsaber from a Jedi once. He doesn't hesitate to use it to "cut ties" with a business partner gone bad.

Sorry for the fuzzy pic, still working thru camera issues on my new cameraphone. Better pics next month, I hope!

Glad we got two more entries in last night - winner will be declared tonight for September. We didn't have as many entries as most previous months, but we did have some very good customs made.

As for October, that contest will be officially announced either Tuesday or Wednesday night - but there will be two contests actually, one for Halloween themed customs and another for Yak Bash, which will be customs to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of www.yakface.com being online.

 Wow - Yakbash, Halloween the secret santa!

I'm really sorry I couldn't join in this month fellas - BLACK ILLUSION has taken up most of my free time & I would have felt like a cheat using one of my simple background characters.

As usual there are some true classics in the mix!

I'll be back it next one

P.S Will someone check on Jordan Hofer :?:  I think we need to make sure he's ok  :!:
