Yakfinities #15 - Halloween Customs! - WINNER!!!

It's time for another Yakfinities Customizing Challenge folks!

For October, we will be creating customs with a Halloween theme - you are free to leave this open to a lot of ideas - ghosts, goblins, vampires, zombies etc. Run wild with this one, it should be a lot of fun.

Entries are due by midnight October 31.

The prize has not been determined yet, but stay tuned. I need to see what sort of goodies are available for the random winner.

Here's a better look at the creatures that I made for the Halloween theme:

head - Van Helsing bat creature
hands - Van Helsing bat creature
torso - TAC Jawa
wrappings - TAC Asharad Hett

I had originally bought the bat creatures on ebay a while back to make them into something for the UGP that took place at Celebration IV. But I never was able to get around to doing something with them, or coming up with any sort of idea on how to use them.

What I am thinking though is to make a couple more, and have them appear in a photonovel at some point in the Rykrof Enloe series... I could just see Freelo getting attacked by these little terrors... kind of like a sequence from a previous photonovel -

"What's that?" Freelo then says as something catches his eye.

Suddenly, the most horrifying sight Rykrof has ever laid his eyes upon appears.

Carrying the bloody helmet from one of his deceased clone troopers, the hideous being known as the Dark One emerges.

"I told you she's real," Freelo exclaims. "The witch!"

Suddenly the demonic being turns towards the group and roars an obscenity in an unknown language.

"Great job Freelo!" Rykrof yells in disgust.

While Rykrof opens fire on the hideous creature, Freelo runs off in fear.

"Run for your lives," Freelo screams as he scrambles off into the jungle.

So were the Van Helsing figures 1/18th scale?

The Van Helsing figures were about 5 inches tall I believe. I know they were bigger than Star Wars figures at least. Too bad they weren't smaller, they would have been great custom fodder.

As for the "Dark One" - maybe I'll make a new version of her... I'm pretty sure I have an extra head of that creature somewhere.

I have an idea for a figure using some spare figures i couldn't get rid of, just need to get some new white paint first, then i'll start boiling and popping and you proper customizers say.

I keep seeing the huge Van Helsin playset on ebay dead cheap and am tempted to get it for my SW figure, it looks a lil Geonosian but black.

Count Dracula!

His teeth are stained red from the blood of his victims...

He also teaches kids how to count, from time to time:

And has his own brand of breakfast cerial:

Legend has it that he was actually the Prince of Wallachia... Vlad the Impaler, in modern day Romania...

The creepy guy was the great Vincent Price, that was really good Raziel.

The count is really cool Kikinou, the head reminds me of the vampire in the old black and white Nosferatu movie.

Darth Kikinou: Great Execution on your Dracula very well thought out and put together, Tion’s head always reminds me of Lon Chaney Sr. as the Phantom of the Opera

The Body is an AoD Deadite with his right arm cut off
His clothes are made from hollowed out legs & Hat from Moff Jerjerrod

These are all SWEET! Simply amazing. Ars30, Raziel, Chewie & Darth Kikinoum I wish I had your skills. Loved them all.

Hasbro put out a Cantina alien a few years back that I thought really was from the Holiday special whose outfit reminded me of MJ's in Thriller. Was the body an Endor rebel trooper?

Now that you mention it, Tion's head reminds me of Lon Chaney, but I'm not sure if Phantom is the only movie his makeup reminds me of this. It took me several looks before my brain started working. When you said the torso was from senator palpatine, I kept "reading" senator amidala and had no clue what figure you could have got that from.

Chewie, your stuff is always awesome. Love the lighting in those pics, as well.

The jacket is from Ponda Baba cantina showdown - i got the set off ebay ages ago & simply hated each figure individually - they are horrible, awkwardly posed versions of the characters :evil:

The legs are from the endor rebel trooper

I've started my custom hopefully i'll get him done in time!

Just wrote his backstory ready and i'm really pleased with it; this is somebody my Ewok Bounty Hunter Slinger M'gee is gonna want to hunt :lol: .

I have a slinger m'gee story planned i just need to wait for a certain figure to become available her first.
