I went with no paint.

It'll be odd for me to make a custom without painting it, but I have an idea for a couple.

Once they are made and submitted, well, then I'll paint them.

Nice one Stormtripper!!

So this is really my kind of custom... no paint :) Here's my first volley of them:

No_Paint_1.jpg

Obviously the crocodile does need some paint though. The hands and legs belong to Orn Free Taa, and I need to make the feet and the hands match the head. And ultimately I think I'll paint his coat and his pants to make it a more attractive figure.

I'm not happy with the Yakface, no matter what I do with his hands there they always look too big. Would it be wrong for me to give him non-Yak hands? Plus over the different iterations of using this Yakface figure for customs I've cut off too much of his neck and now he looks slouchy. The Arconan head fits perfectly on Lushros' body, just a bit of glue for the arms, easy one! :) The left Itorian is of course the old Momaw's head and hands on Lott Dod's outfit, meh, but the center one there is the new Momaw on Meena Till's digs, with the whole collar chopped off, I like this one.

I'm also working on a half-dozen paint ones as well! Doing a final big push before I start filming the photonovel :) I guess you could say I'm still casting the actors ;) The TV writer's guild is on strike so I think my script may be a bit late ;) hehe. Actually I've had it written, really written, not just in my head, for some time now! I've even been scouting locations for the shoots. A lot of outdoor locales. I've been reading the photography tips that people have kindly posted around here, hopefully I can do a good enough job on all of it to avoid embarrassing myself, pretty high standard to live up to around here!!

You guys ROCK! I love how fast you are pulling these out. I'm hoping to actually finish a couple of entries this month.

My Halloweeen Entry is still on my work bench waiting for a coat of paint.

Well here are my first three entries
BountyHunter.jpg

Bounty Hunter

Head: Jango
Arms: 25th Anniv. Cobra Officer
Torso & Crotch: Senate Guard
Thighs: McFett
Lower Legs: G. Marine
Feet: Biker Scout
Forearm armor: Deluxe Jango Fett

With this one I used goof off to remove the Brown from the Marine legs
To give it A more dirty white than brown Look, Also I Stripped some
of the mud spatter off the Scout feet to blend them in with the legs.

Jedi.jpg

Bith Jedi

Head &Hands: Cantina Band Tin
Neck Wrap: Comic pack A'Sharad Hett
Torso: POTC3 Tai Huang
Arms POTC2 Will Turner
Legs& Crotch : Saga2 Sora Bulq
Waist skirt: TAC Elis Helrot

There was nothing special I did to this one just pieced it together
I need to Give it a little paint touch-up where I cut the Neck Peg off,
Hence the reason for the neck wraps

Smuggler.jpg

Smuggler

Head: POTC3 Sao Feng
Arms: 25th Anniv. Flint
Hands: 25th Anniv. Snake Eyes
Body: TAC Pilot Han Solo

With this one I used Goof off to remove the paint off of Flint's Forearms
and Han's White shirt to give it the look of him having a Black Shirt under a Black Jacket with the sleeves rolled up.
Also I Removed Han's Corellian Blood stripes from the Pants
this one also needs a touch-up around the neck area thats the reason for his Ascot.

Great job so far guys, wow that's 13 customs already!! And I must say I'm very impressed with the quality considering there hasn't been any paint used... I really like that Yak figure and the Bith Jedi...

CloneTrooperJR, we're just trying to make this one simple as can be, which is why we went with the no paint theme, but sculpting is fine I suppose.

Oh, it's not "complicated" sculpting, it's just a block of EPoxy on the leg of the figure... I might have it uploaded next week or the week after :D

Lets say... A Sneak Preview of my Future PN's Characters?
