Here's my submission, this was probably this first custom I've done in a very long time but I had to get in on the Force Unleashed goodness.

This is my take on Vader's Apprentice

I still wanna weather his outfit some. And I need to find another left hand for him so he can hold his saber with both hands, I lost it while I was making it. :?

edit: 2 more shots of him.

All the entries are brilliant so far guys, surprised to see a few coloured Stormies; since people aren't keen on the idea! :lol:

So, the Force Unleashed looks like it's taking what people enjoy the most of other video games, and making it the whole game through. I had to jump on this one.

Great looking entries thus far, and seems like it'll be a popular one too!

=Jedistyle= - Your BlackStar Squad looks great! The black accents look good -- - not too overboard. The paint apps are supreme as usual. I really like your choice to go with more standard imperial armor, with the varying helmets that are more Clone like. Great job overall! Btw what head did you use for the "masked" helmetless look? Looks really good.

Robo-Q - Very cool take on Koffi's rather un-Jedi like outfit. Nice blend with the Royal guard helmet - -- looks like it could definitely be an EU Imperial.
Really good job with your Emperor. It's a shame that we haven't had a more definitive version as of yet. I like your take on him, good parts choices!

Chewie - Master Chire is one of the best looking Jedi I've seen in quite a while. The blue is a pretty cool way to set him apart from the neutrals we're used to. Also, kudos for using Madine's head. I always felt sorry for the poor guy in both vintage and current figures (just because he seemed so darn unpopular). But he really turns out to have a "Jedi" look.

Your stormtrooper looks good too. The McQuarrie helmet certainly blends with the look of the upcoming figures.

Nirvana - Your two stormies are really top-notch. The weathering you've done certainly makes them look as if they've been busy taking down some rogue Jedi. I wouldn't have guessed that the McQ Fett heads would blend so well with a clone's armor, but it does fit pretty nice. I think what really makes these cool is the extended right "double" shoulder armor. The red looks cool, and gives it a different look from the standard pauldrons. Also, the jedi guy looks pretty cool. The black reminds me of ROTJ Luke, since it's a more form fitting outfit, looks more business-like. :)

MetalJedi - I'm in the same boat with you, haven't been doing too much lately but wanted to add a little something. Really like your take on the Apprentice. Wait a sec, this game doesn'y have anything to do with Donald Trump does it?! I think that the head and armor are from the McQ rebel, right? They look good on the evo Palpatine body, and you still have a ton of articulation. Looks good!

Stormtripper - The clones look great! The green guy, we'll call him "spot" has a pretty cool feel to him. While the paint job looks kinda like some military fatigues (especially European camouflage), it still fits in with the game. Good parts for the 3rd royal guard, but to me the star of the group has to be Clone number 2. The black/grey paint job looks amazing. How did you get the look, drybrushing? It really has a cool texture look to it. Nice entries!

Let me go on and get my entry in.... This guy was inspired by the bounty hunter pic that Incom had posted earlier. I noticed the muscled-up Gand, and thought what if I applied that to another mainstay in the SW universe. It seems like particularly in video games, there always seems to be a bigger, boss-type guy. So here's my take on a tough-guy Rodian, Bic Ronix out to get the secret apprentice.

Here's a pic as he might be seen in the game?!

EDIT: Forgot to include the original concept art from the game which I photoshopped. :)

And just a couple of clearer pics

And here's the recipe, using this guy's head:

Wow, the entries are coming up fast this time! It could very well be another record breaking YF!

I missed out on the last couple of Yakfinities, but it's a new year, new oppertunities, etc.

Here's my entry for the TFU Yakfinities:

So. Cal
looks like some really great entries so far this month!

john boy - the head on the masked helmet less trooper is from the gijoe spytroops kamakura figure. i have a few more of these types of troopers with that head, it works great on so many different style figures.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

here is another for this months challenge. i covered the imperial side, but i couldn't resist doing up a fugitive jedi for them to hunt....... :) so here he is!

The following are not original designs. They are Darth Nirvana's. I followed a tutorial of his so I thought I would acknowledge him

------------------------------------------------------------

The 131st Jedi Killer Squad is a elite unit consisting of 4 men who hunt down Jedi that escaped Order 66. They are part of the 479th Star Corps which once was the home to the now believed rouge 91st members under Commander Gray. They are veterens of the Clone Wars who bore scars to prove it. During their many battles they have eliminated many Jedi. To the main force of the 479th they are known as the modern 91st, although many clones refuse to give them that title as they find it disrespectful to their friends long gone. They have s seceret assingment that only them and the most elite officers know about- to elinimate the last regiments of the 91st. This has been held seceret from all clones, as the officers fear of a mutiny among the troops.

------------------------------------------------------------
===Communications Officer Kando===

Just a simple kitbash and pain job on this one. I feel i have done good with the battle damage. I felt I needed a urban feel to these troops so I was looking around and Darth Nirvana's was perfect.

Kando is a loyal soldier who cannot be blackmailed or bribed into betraying the empire. A vetern officer of the Clone Wars he has become a great soldier. Grity and rude, Kando does not mess around. Although he fought along side the 91st during the Clone Wars and made many frinds amongst their ranks he has no bad feeling about their seceret mission.

------------------------------------------------------------

===Squad Commander Echo===

Echo is a clone trooper veteren from the clone wars trained by ARC Commander Gray and Republic Commando Mev. He is loyal to the Empire so he has no problems with their seceret mission. He has killed many Jedi since Order 66 thus he has became known as the "Jedi Killer".

------------------------------------------------------------

===Commander Remond===

Remond commands the 479th Star Corps and is a loyal Soldier and has no problem with being in the 131st away from his other judies. He is a vetern of the clone wars and has great skill.

Here is my first (of hopefully a few) entries this month.
Sorry about the crappy pics. I still am without a decent digital camera and must rely upon my webcam...
(Though will update pics if I can borrow a digital camera.)

Wow, Straxus, I thought you used Shaak Ti's head, but you used the entire Lady Jaye body and sculpted the lekku! I have yet to sculpt some lekku myself, but don't know how to handle that. Do you mix A and B in a different ratio than the standard 50/50?

Shaak Ti Unleashed (hey Hasbro: how about a 7" version of that, huh?) is an awesome character, much like Raana Tey from the Kotor series. Hm, Raana's been a wip too long now for me, and now I wanna make this Shaak Ti as well.

Oh, she's got a nice tush there :eek:

I probably would have, however I traded off my only Shaak Ti a few months back. I used standard 50/50 ratio for the lekku, however was just very careful with them. (It wasnt easy.)
