Wow! What a pleasant suprise! Woke up, stumbled to the computer to browse forums and saw this! Great morning with no coffee needed to jump start it!
Thanks for the kind words everyone! I was having ALOT of fun with this them this month. I had actually also planned a small group of elite stormtroopers and had started a sculpt of a young attack rancor based on a Marvel Legends Sasquatch figure as a base, however my new job has been kicking my butt so I just didnt have the energy or time to finish them.
There are so many absolutely awesome entries this month!
Jedistyle: As always, absolutely love that weathering technique you use as well as the rest of the painting! The galactic marine helmet fit well with the stormtrooper body. With that body/helmet combo it gives me the impression these guys deal with environments with alot of rain.
Robo-Quack: That combo of Koffi Arana body and Royal Guard helmet does go together really well! I might have to try that combo myself sometime! The Emperor! Yes! Very nice combo of parts to create what could be the best emperor figure I have seen!
The story behind the disguise is great too!
Chewie: Great combo of parts on that jedi! The torso armor and use of a blaster does well to help with disguising him. I didnt even realize it was a General Madine head at first.
The Stormtrooper. Wow! The concept trooper helmet looks perfect with that combo of parts! An army of these guys would be really cool!
Darth Nirvana: Great use of the DS Gunner and combo of parts for the jedi as is the combo for the troopers! While not so sure on the choice of the first helmet as it looks too mandalorian for a stormtrooper, though the second one definitely looks like it could be a variation stormtrooper helmet! The selection of parts is really good and I like the double shoulder plate on their right shoulders. Reminds me fo the Darth Revan shoudlers.
What did you use for the weapons slings?
Metal Jedi: I like this alot! Though what is the recipe? Must know!
That torso armor is really cool!
Stormtripper: I like the camo on that first trooper! Looks perfect for a forest that either has alot of light colored moss or mushrooms growing on the trees!
Very curious how you aquired the weathered look of the second trooper (and loved the use of that helmet for a stormtrooper!) Looks very cool!
The parts combo for the Royal Guard are great!
Johnboy Walton: That Rodian is amazing! I would love to somehow get a cast of that figure head you made. Definitely THE most unique Rodian custom I have ever seen!
Incom: Aside from it always being nice to see my helmet casts being used in customs, like the body with the gun and helmet. All together definitely shows a trooper with ALOT of firepower who is armored enough to survive the debris thrown back his way from his destroyed victims!
Running out of time at the moment, though I will comment on the rest of your guy's customs soon! I promise! Wanted to over the last few days but as I said, work has me exausted.
