S.C., Awesome job with Jaydex Xandier! This guy totally reflects the designs of KOTOR. IMO, the pirates head you used really has an prequelish Jedi look to it, but gives him an edge as to possibly be on the brink of changing sides. Nice job on sculpting his tunic and the outfit. The colors really work to give him a darker theme.

Chewie, Thanks so much for the comments and the kind words. It's really a blessing to have a couple of cool sites where people can gather and "show and tell" our customs, learn new techniques, and get creative feedback on the figures we make.

I was kind of worried that Heelsawn-Gi would be too evocative of the Jar Jar base that I used, but to me, it just had a cool, different-looking take on the Jedi robes. I tried to make the Mara hood flow into the upper part of the robes that I painted in a matching tan. Though I dunno how well this carries over - particularly from a front picture. With Brun, I was really inspired to include some brighter colors in his armor (like the yellow wash over the white). I can picture the brown, drab robes kind of becoming a uniform of sorts over time - -- not necessarily having always been the Jedi outfit of choice. Oh, by the way the collar on Brun is cut away from a ROTS Mas Ameda robe. I used the same piece a while back for a Darth-ish Anakin I made, but think it looks much better on a larger frame, such as an Ithorian.

Here is my entry. I took several concepts from KOTOR characters and came up with this guy.

Tonphanan:

Really good job with Jarnel. I haven't seen a whole lot of customs using the Hett body, but it's really a pretty well articulated, normally posed figure. Good choice with that, as well as the Typho arms. I really like that forearm armor for jedi, it looks purposeful, but not extravagant. The red scarf is a nice touch - -- kind of goes along with a few of the other entries including some color that sets it apart from most of the prequel designs.

Edit: Meant to also say fantastic job repainting the Hett head. Until I read your recipe, I had no idea what it was. Very neat, crisp color -- - I actually thought it was a GI Joe head or something that was unaltered. Great job!

J-Style Your creations always amaze me. Your painting technique consistently yields some of the most unique looking figures. I've felt compelled to try the dark undertone that you utilize so well, but haven't gotten the nerve to try it just yet. Prolly better to let the master keep the standards high, rather than me trying to imitate it.

Lihht Bosen - This is one of my favorite custom Jedi I've ever seen. I love the colors you chose, and the parts are also exceptional. I recognize the Jedi training Qui Gon torso and the Revan legs. I made a jedi a little bit back using that same combo because I think that they compliment each other so well, and it gets out of using the same old complete Qui-Gon body. Did you use the comic pack Vader for the arms?

Overall, very nice work with this one!

Tot Donetta - Very cool Twi-lek. The headwrap gives him a new look from your typical male twi-leks, which is nice to tie it in with the look of nearly very female that I've seen. As I mentioned above your painting is always top-notch, but I am especially digging the many tones and layers of green. Nice job!

Great entries indeed Jedistyle! I find your work more impressive with each update. You've truly got a style unlike anyone else on the boards.

The human is great, the only thing I don't dig about it is the head used. For some reason it seems a little small, and I don't care for the face too much. But that's nothing you did, the actual figure looks fantastic. I love the parts selection, it really goes well together.

The Twi'lek is also great, I think I like him better. The straps on the lekku look great! How did you do that? Also I love the shoulder pads.

Sorry for the delay on a wrap up guys... my computer at home is down for a bit, as soon as I get fixed (Friday I think?) then we'll announce the winner for this month.

johnboy - thanks for the great comments. you should give the dark undertone method a shot on an older figure some time, it's really a simple technique and you may like it. :)

glad you like dthe ancient jedi. bosen did turn out better than i had thought, sorry if i snagged your recipe, those parts do mesh very well, i wish those revan legs had ariculation , the sculpt is so cool and yes those are the comic pack infinities vader, i wanted him to have at least some form of articulation. :)

tot was a mix of all the reference pics i had on the charecter and some creative liberty i took. he was fun to make. thanks a gain for all your great comments. :)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

blaster e11 - thanks for the grea comments, im glad you like bosen.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

chewie - thanks. the human head does have a strange face, it's an ultimate soldier figure, ww2 flamethrower soldier, the head does seem small with the bulky shoulder armor. glad you like the overall look of the rest though. :)
the twilek was fun to make, the head wraps are the same material i use for my weapon slings, , i just glued an end and wraped down the lekku glueing each time i went around. :) thanks for the great comments!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

that was a fun yakfinities even though iwas last minute on it, there were some really great entries this month, excellent work everyone. :D
